The discovery of the sparkling stones
She had been a tyke child. One of those kids that could turn the whole world upside down. Everything had a touch of magic in her eyes. Climbing trees, running in the dusty streets, collecting little animals, putting them in boxes and taking them home.
Once she found a little turtle and called her Florentina. For 3 days Florentina stayed in her room and she would talk with her new friend and tell her tales. After 3 days her grandmother discovered little Florentina and took her out in the garden. She was sad, but when explained that turtles were happier outside, she accepted her grandmother decision.
After a while Florentina got forgotten. Why? Because of a story someone told her. The story of The magical sparkling stones. She spent a lot of days looking for the stones. They had to be white. And when one would make them collide with each other, they would produce sparks and light. Oh how happy was she when found the treasure she was looking for. Put them in the pockets and run home. The magic to happen, needed a dark place. And she tried everywhere around the house until the great idea came to her mind. She laid in the bed and covered herself from head to toe with a blanket. There she tried magic, and magic came real. Every time she would make the stones collide they produced sparks like stars. She was so happy she could stop playing with them. After a while she could see not only sparks but also a bunch of little sparkling animals calling her name.
When her grandmother found her she was sleeping with a big smile pictured on her face. The next morning she told everyone about the place of the sparkling animals she visited thanks to the sparkling stones, but surely no-one believed it to be real.
Years went by, and she grow up. After a while she forgot about the magical land she visited a lot of times and where she made a lot of friends. She forgot about the sparkling stones too.
The stones lay now in a biscuit box, somewhere in the room. Waiting for another kid to play with them and fantasize about the 'Land of the sparkling creatures', whose gates can only be opened with the sparkling stones.
Or...it was not a childhood fantasy at all...
