chapter 7 The queen has Awakened

The stranger stood at the end of the tunnel watching Aurora with a mixture of fear and disbelief while Keal remained between them his shoulders tense and his eyes glowing with the power of his wolf Aurora could feel the bond between them growing stronger with every second and for the first time she was not afraid of what was happening inside her The silver light around her hands grew brighter and the stranger took another step backward You should not have awakened this early he whispered Aurora stared at him Who are you The man smiled but there was no warmth in it Your father knew my name Aurora followed him The masked wolves slowly surrounded them One of them stepped forward and removed his mask Aurora recognized him immediately It was the Alpha of Moonridge Aurora's breath caught He truth is waiting beneath the old tower Aurora looked toward the distant skyline and saw an ancient tower rising between the modern buildings She suddenly knew where she had to go Keal noticed the change in her expression What is it Aurora looked at him The old tower My father left something there Keal stared at the tower Then we go there together Aurora nodded But neither of them noticed the figure standing on the rooftop across the street watching them through a pair of binoculars The figure lowered them and smiled The Queen has awakened The next phase begins tonight
