Maybe it was silly to be so nervous about having Ben over, but despite my inner remonstrances, I couldn’t quite ignore the agitated butterflies flitting around in my stomach as I set the table in preparation for his arrival. Naomi’s words had stayed stuck in my mind, for better or worse.
