Prologue
~Prophecy~ When the wolf moon is bathed in blood, The Vampire Master can impregnate a virgin.  If the child is a male, he will be a loyal Sire. Almost as powerful as The Master. If the child is a female, she will be blessed by the moon goddess. She will be the key to The Master’s downfall if she should betray him. ~The Past~ Harkon Sinistra was born ,when magic was at its strongest. He was tall and handsome; midnight black hair brushed just past his shoulders, warm chocolate-colored eyes, and was as tall as a tree with big muscles. Intimidating, powerful, and ruthless. His twin sister Luna couldn’t be more different. She was barely as tall as a fence post, almost white hair that went past her knees, and light blue eyes. Friendly, kind, and selfless. Their parents were killed by wolves when they were barely 14. Harkon blamed the wolves and was determined to wipe them all out. Luna knew her parents were trying to kill the wolves’ pups, and thus the wolves had no choice but to protect their own.  When he was eighteen, Harkon went to The Supreme, Lilith Nettle, the most powerful of all the witches. He asked for a potion that would make his skin unbreakable, increase his strength and speed, immortality, and not need to eat and drink food. Lilith tried to warn Harkon that to gain these supernatural abilities, she would need to take something away from him, but he was impatient and demanded the potion be made. He took the potion on the night when the Wolf Moon was bathed in blood. He fell to the ground atop the hill, screaming in agony as he felt a tremendous pain in his chest. He couldn’t breathe, his eyes filling with tears as he stared into the blue eyes of his beloved sister.  “Why Harkon! Why would you trust that woman?” Luna screamed, tears falling as she sat on her knees with her brother in her arms.  “The wolves…need…to…pay.” Harkon gasped as he took his final breath.  “It wasn’t the wolves' fault!” Luna screamed up at the moon, holding her only brother, sobbing. She didn’t notice that he was changing, his eyes turned black and his teeth slowly grew. When she heard the hiss, it was too late. Pain radiated through her neck as Harkon drained her of her blood. Harkon's eyes grew wide as he stared down at his sister. What had he done?! The witch came out from behind a nearby willow tree. “You will not need food or drink to sustain your life, you will need blood, warm fresh blood. Your skin is impenetrable except for the teeth of a wolf!” Fury surged through Harkon as he glared at the witch. “Your speed will be unmatched and your strength will be tenfold! However, you will never again feel the warmth of the sun; instead it will burn and turn you to ash.” In the blink of an eye he held the old hag up by her throat.  “What have you done to me? This isn’t what I meant!!” He screamed in her face, but she only smiled.  “I have given you what you wanted. But I needed something of yours in return. You will have your immortality, that is my gift to you!.” She gasped out as his hand slowly tightened. “Once every thousand years you will be able to produce a child with a human virgin.” Intrigued, Harkon paused. “They will age 1 year each day for a month. Should the child be male, a loyal pawn you will have. Not as strong as you, but will obey your every command,” she paused, a mischievous gleam in her eyes. “But, beware, for if you have a girl, she will be blessed by the moon goddess Selene, to protect the wolves you hate so much.”  With a growl, Harkon tore the hag's head from her body. “My daughter will never betray me! I will force her to kill the moon goddess herself! Together we will destroy all of Tamaska and its wolves!” On the night with the crimson wolf moon, he would take a virgin from one of the kingdoms. Trying for the girl he hoped would be his pawn.  His first three children were all males. He named them Serris, Leshoc, and Toussaint; their mother’s all died during childbirth. Finally, he found a woman named Castamira. She gave him twins. Before she suffered from the same fate, he turned her. It was her reward for finally giving him a girl. Rachimova was born 1 minute before his sister Rubella, and both children survived.  The vampire land called Sanguinex was divided into 4 clans, with each son siring their own army for their father.  Serris, like his father, wanting nothing more than to destroy the wolves. He built an army of the strongest men from the human kingdoms. He was his father’s twin, except he had the same dark skin as his mother.  Leshoc also wanted the downfall of the wolf community. However, he believed brains always triumph over brawns, so he built his army with the smartest men and women he could find. Leshoc looked like his mother; curly red hair, light green eyes, pale creamy skin, and had a slimmer build but still as tall as his father. Toussaint thought his two older brothers were complete idiots. An equally balanced troop of brains and brawns was the only way to go, and he built his army accordingly. Like his mind, he was an equal balance of his parents. He had his mother’s thin frame, dark blue eyes, and blonde hair. From his father he got his height and his facial features Since Castamira survived, she raised Rachimova and Rubella with kindness instead of hate. This annoyed Harkon, but he loved Castamira in his own way and wanted to make her happy.  Rachimova still built an army as his father wished, but with only those who wanted to become vampires. He was the kindest Sire, treating all races equally.  Rubella was given her month to grow up with her mother and brother. However, on the 30th day, Harkon took her, and for centuries she was taught that the wolves and witches had killed her grandparents and her aunt Luna. Humans were inferior and should be treated as pets.
