Chapter 32 – Camping Under the Stars

The school announced a weekend camping trip for students, and Isabella signed up, hoping for a chance to relax and enjoy nature. She didn’t expect that both Leo and Ethan would be in her group, assigned to the same tent and activities.

As they arrived at the campsite, the air buzzed with excitement. Leo immediately took charge of setting up their tents, his energy contagious.

"Come on, Isabella! You have to help me with this—it’s faster with both of us!" he teased.

Isabella laughed, feeling her heart race at the thought of being so close to him in this small, shared space.

"Alright, alright… I’ll help," she replied, smiling.

Ethan, meanwhile, approached calmly, carrying supplies with quiet efficiency.

"Here, let me help too," he said softly, placing a bag beside her. His presence was soothing, grounding her even as Leo’s bold energy made her pulse quicken.

The afternoon was filled with laughter, teamwork, and playful competition. Leo challenged Ethan to races and games, teasing and joking, while Ethan quietly excelled, impressing Isabella with his skill and patience. She found herself caught in the middle, feeling her heart tugged in two directions with every glance, touch, and laugh.

As night fell, the group gathered around a campfire. Leo sat close to Isabella, tossing small pieces of wood into the flames and sharing playful stories.

"You know, I think this trip is better because you’re here," he whispered, his grin softening.

Ethan, sitting across from her, noticed the glance and walked over, handing her a cup of cocoa.

"I’m glad you’re here too," he said gently. "It wouldn’t feel the same without you."

Isabella’s heart raced. Two boys, both caring for her in different ways, both making her feel alive and cherished, and she realized just how impossible her choice had become.

As the stars twinkled above and the fire crackled, Isabella whispered softly to herself,

"How can I ever choose… when both of you make my heart feel so full, so torn, and so alive?"
