Winter's secret

I don't understand his fascination with the necklace I found. I understand it's beautiful but no one has ever had interest in my things before. I hope he doesn't keep asking questions about me because to many questions can lead to destruction. We finish our morning classes and I keep all talk strictly school work. When the lunch bell rings I head to meet up with Evan at our bench. Evan is sitting there waiting for me as he usually is. He grabs his food and me food and has it waiting for me since the class I have before lunch is across the campus. He's always made sure to get me what I like before they run out. He's also the only one who knows my secret, not even my parents know. I've managed to hide it from everyone except Evan and he helped me learn to control it. "Hey Winter, how was your classes this morning?" Evan asks sarcastically. "Oh just fine and dandy! Always excited for homework!" I reply and we both start laughing. I sit down on my bench and set my bag down and dig out my phone. I set it up on the table against my bag and put on our show 'You' off of Netflix. We only get to watch one episode a day at school so if we are left on a cliffhanger he comes over and we hangout after school, with how long we've been friends my family considers him their adopted son and brother. He told my family that he was gay before he told his because he was always closer to my family than his own parents. His parents were always gone with work and he had no one else so he would stay with my family. For a long time everyone at school thought we were dating because of how close we were, but we knew the truth. I knew he was gay before he told anyone, and I accepted him. He wasn't any different from anyone else, he was a normal person to me with normal feelings. He's my best friend and I wouldn't trade him for anything. After a few minutes of watching our show He turns and looks at me and smiles widely. "What?" I ask him. "Looks like someone has an admirer and the admirer is walking this way" He says grinning. "What do you mean I have an...." I get cut off when I hear footsteps come up behind me and stop. "Hey, I don't know anyone here yet but you two, is it ok if I join you guys?" Tristan asks. Evan looks between me and him and licks his lips. I turn to look and Tristan and smile. "Yea, go ahead we don't mind company." Evan says before I can get a word out. I'm not used to anyone coming around me other than Evan. No one ever asks to sit with us. Tristan looks at me waiting for my answer. "Yea, it's not a problem." I smile and turn back to my tray. To my surprise he sits right next to me and his arm brushes mine and I see a vision of him, much older than he is now, playing with two children, a boy and a girl. The boy looks just like him and the girl looks just like... Me? I sit there in shock as the vision disappears. I just stare at my tray confused. After a few seconds I look up to see Evan and Tristan in conversation. Evan looks at me knowing what happened and has Tristan lost in conversation about where he's from and how he ended up here. I can feel a pull in my mind from Evan and I listen to his thoughts. "What did you see when you touched him?" he asked me. "I'll tell you later, my house after school. We'll take our walk." I tell him. He nods once and lightly not to let Tristan know. Tristan looks at me and smiles a bright and happy smile. I blush a little and smile back because I wasn't listening to what he was saying. Tristan leans close to me and whispers. "Wanna hangout after school, I would love a tour of the town." I blush even more because the way he said it was very flirtatious, no one has ever spoke to me so sweetly before. As soon as I go to answer Evan buts in. "We were gonna go to her house after school and hang out, you can come to if you want to. Winter has a huge forest area behind her house we have a trail we walk through everyday." Evan says with a huge grin. "I would love to," Tristan looks at me, "As long as your ok with it." "Sure I'll just have to let my mom know not to pick me up today." I say grabbing my phone and sending my mom a quick text. Bringing home Evan and a new friend of ours. That ok? You made a new friend?!?!? What happened to staying just you two until college? What's his name? or her name? Are they nice to you? His name is Tristan and he just moved here. You can meet him when we get there. It was Evans idea to bring him along. LOL. Ok that's fine dear. Is Evan bringing y'all home? Yea he better since it was his idea. Ok see y'all then! "My mom said it's ok and that you gotta take us" I look at Evan and laugh. Just then the bell rings and Evan gives me a hug and takes off to his next class. Me and Tristan walk to our class and take our seats. We finish off our day and meet Evan at the front of the school. "Hey, have fun in your last class Evan?" I ask. His last class is cheerleading so he get to watch the football players work out and practice. there's only 3 male cheerleaders on the squad and he's the only one who doesn't like the girls in their skimpy outfits. He begins to fan himself like a girl. "Oh My Goodness Winter, did I ever! I didn't think it was possible but they got bigger over summer vay-cay, and I don't just mean their muscles hunny." he giggles like a little school girl. "I didn't need to know that Evan. TMI!" I laugh and we go to his car, Tristan staying close behind me. He hasn't said much since lunch. He opens the passenger door and takes my bag from me then climbs into the back seat. I stand there for a second in shock then climb into the passenger seat and scoot my seat up to give him room. Evan looks at me and smiles and shrugs his shoulders. He starts the car and we drive to my house listening to Evans new Rhianna CD.
