The girl in that room was beautiful, but she wasn't as beautiful as Winter is to me. When she told me not to get involved with her I was a little confused by what she meant. The girl in the room was dancing and I only pictured her as Winter, but the way Winter looked at her was if she was envious of her. I couldn't see why though. Winter is stunning, but I can't take my mind off of how hurt Winter sounded and looked. She wont even look at me now. How could I have ruined things before they even began. Do I even have a chance now? "... And you'll have to have this done by Monday. It's due today but I think this will be a good starter to see if you will do well in my class." Mr. Jay says handing me a packet of paper. I'm not sure what all he said. "Now a place for you to be seated... I'm sure since all students are trusted with Miss Snow you will do excellent by her and her wondrous mind for mathematics. Winter, be sure and help Mr. Stone with everything he needs to catch up with us." She looks up from her book with what looks like tears in her eyes but reluctantly smiles and nods. "Yes, Mr. Jay. That won't be a problem." She says with a teary sound in her voice but Mr. Jay didn't notice. He only smiled and resumed grading papers. I walk over to her and sit in the desk next to her and pull out a pencil to begin working on the paper. I look at the paper and read the first problem and I am instantly lost. I don’t want to ask Winter for help encase I mess that up too. I look over at her to see what she is reading and the cover looks slightly familiar, then I realize it is the first book to my favorite series. “So your stealing my favorite series now, huh?” I say in a joking tone and she looks at me confused. “What are you talking about Tristan?” she asks. I point to her book. “Its my favorite series.” She laughs and puts a necklace in her spot for a place marker. Its a diamond necklace thats in the shape of a heart. The diamonds are green and silver. It looks like a necklace I bought long ago, but there's no way it could be the same necklace. I had my initials engraved into it. I stuck it in an envelope and mailed it without an address but I don’t want her upset with me anymore than she already is so I don’t say anything. I bought it and sent it thinking of my soul mate and hoping it would be delivered to her. She flips the book to where the cover is facing up and stares at it. “This has been my favorite series since it was in stores. I have the whole series.” she smiles and starts blushing. “What's wrong?” I ask curiously. "I don't know who got it for me though. I was talking to Evan about the series one day and the next thing I know it was sitting on my desk wrapped in brown paper with my name written on the top. Evan was confused when I told him thank you but he didn't know what I was talking about because he isn't the one who bought them. Each time a new book came out it was sitting on my desk." She says staring at the book as if remembering each time she got one. it makes me a little upset knowing someone got her something she wanted so badly but would never tell her it was them. As if she either had a stalker or an admirer, or both. After hearing about the books I had to ask. "What about the necklace? What ties it to the books?" she looks at her desk sadly. I knew it was a bad idea. Just as I'm about to tell her nevermind to the question she answers. "It showed up at my door one day in an envelope with a note. There were no addresses so I don't know who the sender was and I don't know who it belongs to. I've kept it in hope of finding who it belongs to. I'm sure the person who it belongs to will love it as much as I do." She says with a hopeful tone. I can see in her eyes how much she adores the necklace. Could it be the same one I got all those years ago for who I would spend my life with? Could it really be her?
