Heart Bound

Episode 3

Emily gives part-time tuitions after school. But that day when she was off to her last tuition, it was already late. Marianna called her and asked about her whereabouts. Emily told her not to worry. She was riding on her cycle. As it was past 10 pm everything was almost quite in her locality. She was just a few meters away from her house passing through an alley. Suddenly, a group of people stopped her. She cautiously looked at them but asked politely, "Umm, Can u please let me pass, I was heading home", There were four people and they looked at each other hearing her words. Suddenly they burst into laughter as if they heard a joke. Emily froze at her place. Suddenly she thought something and gathered all her mental and physical strength and then pushed the cycle paddles hardly. She tried to speed up her cycle and cross those people but one of them suddenly blocked her fore wheel of the cycle with a rod and the cycle tripped giving Emily a hard fall. She almost flew and her head hit heard on the road. She felt a flow of warm liquid from her forehead. She tried to stand up and run but the goons surrounded her. But rather than being afraid she chooses to fight back. She stood up and asked calmly, "What do you want? I don't have much money with me still you can keep them but let me go." Then one of the hooligans suddenly pushed her to the ground and said disdainfully, "Silly girl, do you think we are here for your money when we can have a lot more money if we have fun with you. You should cooperate with us now, if you serve us better we may give you a chance to live" and then he started laughing hysterically. They were coming closer to Emily. Anger rose in Emily's eyes as they were all laughing and the red stone on her dragon locket began to shine brightly under her jacket which nobody can see. She stood up and shouted at them, "You think you can take advantage of a girl whenever you want?". Seeing her rage they began to laugh more loudly. This made Emily angrier, as soon as one of them tried to come close to Emily, Emily pushed him hard and to her surprise, the man flew over and fell a few meters away from her. The place on his jacket where Emily pushed him was burned and the other's were stunned. Emily was also stunned for a few moments but there is no time to think about it. The rest of the men came all together at  Emily and tried to grab her. As she noticed her hands she saw small fireballs were forming. She started to throw small fireballs at those people but she was getting tired and they were dodging her attacks. Suddenly one of them grabbed Emily from behind and tightened her hands. Then the leader said with hatred, "You little witch thought you can face us, now we are going to have our ways with you. You will regret." Emily wanted to say something but she felt a hard hit on the back of her head and a sharp pain took over her. She blacked out...
