RAIDON
I'm f*****g pissed right now.
I watched as Khi scan through the selection of face washes and I couldn't help feeling pissed at what happened earlier.
I was so lost in thought that I didn't notice Khi snapping her fingers at me. I blinked and looked at her. She was raising a brow at me.
"You were saying something?" I asked, forcing a smile.
"I said I got what I needed. Are you alright?" She asked.
I chuckled and nodded, draping an arm around her shoulders, "Of course! I was just thinking of something. Let's go pay for your stuff, yeah?"
I led her to the self checkout area and scanned her stuff. Just as she was about to pay for her things, I took out my card and paid for it. She gawked at me and I laughed, stuffing her items into a plastic bag.
"How dare you pay for my stuff?" She asked, offended.
"What? How dare I? I was just being nice." I laughed, dragging her out of Target and into my car.
"No. That's a big no," She frantically fished out something from her bag then shoved something on my lap once I fastened my seatbelt, "Here. That's not the exact amount, but there. No. Don't take give it back. I won't accept it."
I laughed sheepishly and begrudgingly accepted the cash she shoved onto me.
Damn. I thought she'd be all shy and just accept it.
"Alright then. Let's take you home, princess." I said and started the engine.

The drive to her home was quite long because I was going at a slow speed. I glanced at her and noticed how quiet she was.
"You alright, Khi? You're spacing out quite a bit." I said and she sighed.
"I was just thinking about what happened earlier. I just can't believe she was willing to make a scene in public." She said, crossing her arms over her chest.
"She's... your ex boyfriend's ex girlfriend?" I asked.
"Yeah. They're coworkers and for some reason, Joelle, the ex girlfriend, thought that it was a good idea to befriend her ex. Crazy, huh?" She scoffed and looked out the window.
"That is pretty crazy. I mean, who befriends their ex? I cut ties with Natasha and I never wanted to be involved in her life ever again." I chuckled to ease the tension and I was relieved when Khi giggled.
"Jase, my ex, he... he was so broken about what happened between them that... even when he was dating me, he was reminiscing about the moments he spent with her." Her voice was laced with hurt and sadness.
"That's terrible. Why did you put up with his behavior then?" I glanced at her, suddenly feeling pissed at her ex boyfriend.
"Well... people do crazy things... when they're in love." She simply said.
"Hey now. It's not right for you to quote a line from Hercules especially when your ex was a bastard." I teased and she laughed genuinely.
"Hold up. You know that movie?" She asked in between giggles.
"Uh duh? I spent my childhood watching Disney movies." I said as a matter of fact.
She giggled, "Now that's something we have in common."
"You're a Disney child, too?"
"Duh. Of course I am." She said proudly and I chuckled.
"You know what? Screw taking you home. We need to bond over coffee right now." I took a turn and she squealed.
Fuck. I want to get to know more about her.

I took her to a coffee shop near her home. It was small and cute. There were a few customers and it was just the perfect place for us. We walked to the counter and she looked up at the menu.
"What would you like? My treat." I said and before she could say another word, I covered her mouth.
"No. You're not paying me back." I said and she just huffed against my hand. I chuckled and removed my hand from her mouth.
"Then... I'll have a hot white chocolate latte." She said and I blinked.
"What?" I asked again and looked at me.
What kind of drink was that? It was so long.
"Whatever. I'll order for the both of us. What would you like?" She said as if she immediately understood my dilemma.
"I'll have the Oreo cheesecake frappé." I said and she looked up at me in surprise, but decided to brush it off.
I handed her my card and she recited our order to the lady in the counter. I taught her how to pay with a card and she nodded, eyes shining with pure amazement.
After a few minutes, we got our drinks and sat on a table beside the window. I pulled her seat for her and looked up at me in disbelief.
"Oh come on. You can sit. My mom taught me how to be a gentleman." I said, winking at her.
She rolled her eyes at me playfully and sat down. I pushed her chair in before sitting on the seat in front of her. She scoffed and took a sip of her drink.
"I'm surprised you listened to your mom." She teased and I narrowed my eyes at her.
"Of course I did. I'm a good child." I said proudly and she giggled.
"So tell me, Mr. Gentleman, what do we need to bond over for? Or maybe... you're using this to make me level up our status to 'friends'?" It was her turn to narrow her eyes at me and I laughed.
"Ok. I'm not using this as an excuse, but I really do want to get to know you more. I swear." I said, raising my hands in surrender.
"Alright. What do you want to know?" She folded her arms on the table and leaned forward a little, exposing her cleavage a little.
I swallowed thickly and took a sip of my drink. I looked into her eyes and hummed.
"Well, for starters, what is your hobby and your favorite color?" I mimicked her pose and smirked.
"Hmm... I love reading. A lot. I like the murder mystery kinds of books and as for my favorite color. I love pink." She said, smiling brightly.
"Murder mysteries, huh? So you're into Sherlock Holmes?" I asked and she nodded excitedly.
"What about you? Hobby and favorite color." She said before taking a sip of her drink.
I hummed in thought and said, "I play basketball with my cousin as a hobby or sometimes, I watch car races. For my favorite color... hmm... it's red." I said, smiling and I watched as her eyes slowly widen.
"Really? You watch car racing?" She asked in surprise.
"Yeah. Why?"
"Nothing. I'm just surprised that a man drinking an Oreo cheesecake frappé would watch that." She teased, giggling as she said those words.
"You're teasing me now, huh? Does that mean... you consider me your friend now?" I wiggled my eyebrows at her and she laughed.
"Alright. Fine. You're now officially my friend. Second to Michie of course." She winked at me and I almost melted. She was too adorable for her own good.
"Ouch. Michie was first?" I clutched my chest and pretended to be hurt.
"Well, of course she is. She was the first one to call me a friend and she didn't bump onto me the first time we met."
I huffed, "Fine. But I'm getting that number one spot someday. Mark my words."
She smiled, taunting me, "Go right ahead."
I decided to change the subject. I sipped on my sweet drink and then propped my elbow on the table, resting my chin on the palm of my hand.
"So... how is it living here so far?"
"It's good. I like it here and the people are nice and well... I'm glad I moved." She smiled brightly, cheeks tinting a light shade of pink.
I stared at her like a lovestruck i***t, eyes wide and lips slightly agape.
Fuck. If only you knew how much I'm holding back right now, Khi. I so badly want to kiss your soft lips.
