~ 6 years Later ~ Years passed and princess Alina was now 5 years old. After the lost of Queen Amelia, King Elijah chose to entrust Duke Callan and his wife to raise Alina as their own. Duke Callan accepted his orders by his King, and willingly gave up his positioned to proceed on with his duty to the King. By raising Princess Alina out in the country side, where no violence and war would occur. For there she'll grow for what she wishes to be, instead of what she has to be. "Back this way kiddo." Callan said before he picked Alina up in his arms and brought her back inside their small home. "Look at her, she's all dirty Callan." Sophie, Callan's wife complained.  "Go clean up before you sit at my table, mister."  "Yes, ma'm." Callan smirked as he kissed his wife cheek, walking pass Alina and ruffling her hair before walking towards the bathroom. "Now, what have I told you about playing in dirty, little missy?" Sophia faked scolded. Alina only looked down at her small feet, as she started to fiddle with the hem of her dress. "I'm sorry mama." Her small voice whispered out. That was all it took for Sophie to break character and pick the small girl up. Sophie then started to tickle Alina, making her laugh and wriggle in her hold. Callan walked out smiling at the view as he leaned against the door frame. 'If only she were here.' He thought to himself. "Who's ready for some cake?" Callan spoke, pushing himself off of the door frame, with a wide smile, causing Alina to smile in excitement. - Meanwhile - "You should take a break, you highness. All this alcohol isn't good for you." The same royal nanny spoke up, worry clear in her tone. "It's her birthday you know." King Elijah spoke in a dead tone. It matched his dead eyes and dark circles underneath them. King Elijah was falling.  And unfortunately his enemies knew that too.
