The Serpent Assassin and Her Prince Mate

Lily I am standing in the rain just outside my dark windowed home right after getting off the bus. Mom wasn't at the bus stop waiting on me which was very unusual. I open the door and the scent of blood hits my nose. I can't see anything in the dark hallway so I stand on my toes and reach up to the lightswitch however as soon as I switched it on I switched it off again because the horror I had saw in the hallway was to much for me to think. I take a breath and turn the light back on and I am met again with the horrifying view of my mother and father ripped apart laying before me. I saw a foot still in his work boots sitting in front of me and a hand with short manucured fingertips laying beside it. Each part I saw of my parents had been ripped from the other as if someone just stood there ripping them apart. Their blood was splashed along the walls and ceiling and pooling under the torn up bodies parts. I was so torn up at the sight that I didn't register the guy walk into the hall from the kitchen area covered in fresh blood until he spoke. Lily I just got here and found your parents like this a devilish grin spreading across his blood covered face as he tried to make what I guess what a sincere smile but it just registered as creepy and weird. I took a step back into the door trying to make sense of the scene of my parents and their best friend Basilisis. I wanted to run but the calm voice coming from Basilisis made me want to go to him and cry. As he grabbed my hand very gently I made a mental note to one day teach myself how to cause him more pain then he caused my parents. Basilisis led me out of the house and to a car around the corner. He then opened the door and my favorite camping bag and stuffy was sitting there with my favorite comforter that mom sprayed everyday with a hint of vanilla body spray. It always calmed me after a long day at school. I grabbed it and the scent of vanilla washed over me as the car starts and drives away into the rain filled dreary evening. One day I would return here and visit the grave but for now I was under Basilisis care the only person left after the brutal murder of my parents. I don't know if Basilisis knows that I already have access to a few of my powers already but I have been trained since I could get out of my crib to move like an assassin and be able to defend myself. I know he killed my parents and I will revenge them but for now I must listen to everyword of the only person my parents trusted the best single assassin in the snake assassins. My mom and dad had normal jobs but they used to be the most feared assassin duo. I was gonna need to fill some pretty big shoes but as the car droaned on through the night I fell asleep the only thing keeping me calm was the scent of vanilla as it lulled my nightmares of the day away. There was a sudden jostle and a jarring and I sat straight up in my seat. Basilisis seemed to be trying his hardest to not lose control as he battle the car through a terrible storm and after a moment the tires fully lose traction and we go sliding off the road and down a steep enbankment. I heard him cuss before fumbling in the glove box for something. A moment later he pulls out a radio and makes a call and the reply was something I didn't expect to hear." Really Basilisis. Have you not learned to drive yet in your forties? Lily better not be hurt or I will show you more pain then your recent contract asked for and you are sure no one saw you?" Basilisis tired voice replied," I am sure she is fine and noone was wiser when we left and even the kid doesn't suspect anything." Bullshit I thought, I know you killed my parents and I will revenge them. Basilisis and the women continue on for a moment before a bright light washes over the car and the sound of a chain finding its bite. There is a sudden jolt and moments later we are back on the road. Basilisis steps out of the car and a moment later you here the same voice reaming him out in the dreary night for driving like a stupid maniac during a storm on treachures roads. Basilisis thanks the tow truck and apoligizes profusely to the lady before getting back into the car andcontinueing to drive up the mountain. As we reach the top a huge building fully lit up and looking almost like a castle comes into view and the fence surrounding it is tall rock fence with iron spikes. It looked strange but then I saw the sign. Assassin Academy. Where we slither with death. That seemed weird but as we approached the gates I notice the snakes adorning everything. A young lady comes to my door and opens it and reachs in to begin helping me unbuckle and assisting me with my stuff. She smiles at me and whispers her name, Lilith my room mate. Her eyes flashed red for a moment before winking and extracting herself and most of the itams in the backseat. Basilisis stilled covered in my parents blood but now dried and flaking asssists me out of the car and the lady who had been chewing him out smiles. She is dressed in a green shimmering dress made to look like scales and a black robe to shed the rain and cold. Her voice comes out sweet and melodic as she addresses me," Welcome Lily to Assassin Academy where you will learn to harnest your strengths and use them to revenge the deaths of those most dear to you." She nodds at me as I strike a glare at Basilisis who isn't paying any attention to us and she then knew I already knew. "I am the headmistress here. Second Assassin Sara Serpente and we will be speaking after you get some rest. My daughter Lilith will show you to your room and help you get settled in. Your classes will start on Monday so you have three days to get to know the castle and Lilith. Any questions can wait till tomorrow when Lilith brings you to my office. She will help you till then.
