The Vampire Prince

"I can't believe Mother Earth chose you to be the next Queen," Melody said breaking me from my thoughts. I seen Silver elbow her in the side. Melody gave a bewildered look then started rubbing the spot in her side that had just been elbowed. I was sure Silver didn't hurt Melody but Melody loved drama. "What? It's true Willa doesn't like dressing up or boys or anything girly at all!" Melody began anger seeping in every word and the dirt around her feet had began to swirl around her making her dress float. "That's enough," I told her shutting Silver up before she could start a fight that would never end. "Mother Earth chose me because dressing up and boys or anything girly isn't important when being a Queen," I told a still storming Melody. She humphed at me and made her way to Silver and my changing room. Silver shrugged at me knowing the same as me that their was no arguing with her. "I don't understand why mother even sent me to help you get ready it's not like you'll let me help you get ready," Melody chimed from the pool already spilling the whole bowl of rose petals. We sometimes invite Melody to our room so she could get ready with Silver. "You never take my advice," she said while turning to glare at me. "What's so important anyways that were having an emergency meeting?" she asked me. I waited a moment to be sure she was done talking. Once I was sure I answered her while looking at Silver, "Grandmother Willow is going to announce my betrothal to the Vampire Prince." Silver's face paled and I could hear Melody gasp. Before they could start talking I looked over at Melody and said, "I really would like your help today if you wouldn't mind? I need to make a good impression." All the anger that Melody had before vanished and she became the annoying gossiping ten year old she truly was. "Of course I'll help you!" she chimed before turning and started grabbing all kinds of different brushes and makeups that normally only Silver used. "Well what are you waiting for hurry up and bathe so I can start!" Melody chimed from my oak vanity as she placed the make up down and ran out of the room I presume to get more from her room. "Are you alright?" I heard Silver's small voice ask as I got into the pool and began to lather my hair with my rose shampoo. I dunked my head in an attempt to avoid her question. When I resurfaced Silver had moved to look at me and had regained all color to her face. She looked at me angrily and said, "your not going to avoid the question that easily. I sighed a deep sigh and answered honestly, "I don't know." She nodded her head but before she could say anymore Melody barged in the room carrying a box and about five different dresses. "Are you still not done?" she asked with a sigh. "Your just going to have to get out I only have twenty minutes and I have to decide on a dress before I can do your make up and your hair," she said all in one breath. Before I knew it I was in a purple dress it was long but sleeveless and hugged my breast in a way I wasn't used to. Melody had braided my hair into a half crown before letting the rest fall down my back in waves. Silver forced Melody to use natural light pinks for my makeup and I would have to remember to thank her. When I looked at myself in the mirror I felt like I was a different person, I hope with all my heart that this would be enough. Enough to prove to my Grandmother I could do this and enough to impress the Vampires. I don't know how but Silver and Melody managed to find time to get ready they both wore green formal dresses knowing that this was a surprise engagement. We made our way to the main corridor and before I entered Silver tugged my arm, "don't forget this," she said as she placed my tiara perfectly on my head. With that we walked in breaking off from each other as the sisters went to Aunt Wisteria and I made my way to Grandmother Willow. Once everyone but the Vampire King and Prince had entered the room Grandmother Willow nodded and the began. "Hello everyone, I know you all must be wondering why I have called you here. I must admit something to you all and I am not sure if you will all agree with my decision but I will remind you all that I have never steered you wrong and I only have our peoples best interest in mind," she told our people confidently. "Today we welcome the Vampire King Alfred and Prince Blaine," as soon as she said it King Alfred and Prince Blaine walked in. I must admit that Prince Blaine was handsome and he favored his father greatly though his features were softer. Prince Blaine was roughly six foot four with dark brown hair that was nearly black he wore a black suit that made his pale skin look even paler but brought out his blue eyes and strong cheekbones. As they approached King Alfred took my Grandmothers hand and kissed it before releasing it and joining us on the small platform. "I happily announce that Prince Blaine and Princess Willa are to be married to end the loose treaty and start a new one a better one!" Grandmother Willow finished and there was nothing but silence...
