Chapter One
I had the most beautiful summer ever, I did all sort of crazy things. I was a different person. I felt alife. I met the perfect person. Everything went smoothly but it had to end. I saw it all going down the drain.
I opened my eyes sharply, everywhere was bright. Very bright or maybe too bright. I felt a sharp headache. There were ache all over my body.
"Bloom. Oh, thank goodness you're finally awake. I thought I've lost you"
"Mom..." I blinked and stare at her. Her face was almost so close to mine. She called the doctor which was a man about or older than my mom I guess.
"Ms Shahaney. It's nice to see you up" He said with a smile.
"I-I'm in an hospital? I...um...ugh" I yelped with my right hand on my head.
"It's okay. You have to relax now miss. I'll only ask you some questions if you don't mind"
I looked around scanning the room. I was putting on a hospital gown. It's a white room alright and it smells of drugs and syringe. I hate that smell. Hospitals, I just hate its smell. "Where's my friend?" I asked with my eyes on him. "Is he here?"
"Your friend? You we're with someone?"
"Where's he? He should be here. He...no no no. He should be here" I shouted. "The cliff. Y-you...I...you don't understand. Go back to the cliff. M-my friend. He..."
"Bloom" My mom called.
"No...please save him. He..." My breathing start becoming hard, there was an outbreak of sweat in my body.
"She's hyperventilating. I need to sedate her"
"He...the cliff...my... No... "
I was injected. I started feeling dizzy.
"Bloom. It's okay now. Mommy is here."
"Please save him." My voice became low. "My friend" Then darkness took over.

"Sweety"
I opened my eyes.
"You gave me quite a scare. Good thing you can be discharged now. No more drug smell. I'll go get the nurse" My mom said, she left and came back almost immediately with the nurse which was a pretty lady with short black hair.
"I can see you're much better now" She smiled at me. Then she faced my mom. "She's free to go."
Few minutes later we were out and we run into my aunt.
"Didn't I tell you not to show yourself here?" My mom scoffed.
"You can't stop me from seeing my niece."
"Why did I find her in that condition then. I allowed her here for the summer and this is what happened."
"C'mon Jane. Don't be like that. I made my special delicacy."
"Oh, so now that counts huh!" My mom argued.
"You keep treating her like she's a child. Nobody is prone to danger, Jane."
"Don't give me that bullshit Bani."
"It's okay, mom, aunt. I'm fine now." I called but they keep arguing. Those two women will never stop arguing over anything. Suddenly something hit me, like a flashback.
Flashback
I sat on a lonely bench staring at the waters. I noticed a boy skipping stones. The view was perfect. I brought out my notepad and a pencil and started drawing, I drew the scenery. When I took a peek at the boy I couldn't find him there.
"Nice drawing"
"Ah..." I spooked out and quickly calm my nerves. He was right behind me. I quickly close my notepad and put it in my backpack along with my pencil. "I don't like people looking at it" I manage to say. Why's he talking to me? No one ever talks to me. They believe I'm a weirdo or invisible, well at least that's what I think.
"Why? You're pretty and I was curious as to why a pretty girl like yourself is sitting here all alone"
I blushed a little and he sat down beside me. "No reason, You, what're you doing here all alone"
"Same." He smiled and sat down beside me. "Wanna skip some stones at the waters "
He's nice, he's cute, he looks dreamy and he's talking to me. "Sure" I said with a smile.
End of flashback
"Bloom...Bloom..."
I jerked out of my reverie. "Mom, aunt." I said looking at them. Tears made its way down my eyes.
"Bloom it's alright. Let's go to your aunt's place. I guess we'll just take that special delicacy she talked about." My mom said giving me a soft smile.
"Yes child. Angels don't cry" My aunt said. She loves calling me an angel. She said I'm her little angel.
***
"That was delish. Your food are always special" I smiled.
"Wow, I feel like the odd one out." My mom said.
"Don't be jealous mom. You know you will always be my No 1." I said and she smiled.
My aunt is an Indian. She's funny and weird in a way. I guess Indians customs are weird. My dad was an Indian, was, cause he died in an accident when I was 4. My mom and aunt are the only family I got. Dad and aunt Bani are related, aunt Bani is the youngest. My mom is from here, she's an American. That makes me half American, half Indian.
"Aunty, what's that?" I asked pointing at the strange candle on a platter filled with red flowers and stuffs.
"It's to keep the evil spirit out. I'll put it outside"
"Indians."
"Yet you married one." Aunt Bani said rolling her eyes.
"Your brother was a gentleman "
"At least you get to give him a child. May his soul rest in peace " She said with a sad smile. "I remember Saheed every time. It's almost like he never left. I know I'll meet him again in death and we can be happy together forever."
"Uncle Saheed wants you to be happy aunty."
"Cancer is a very bad ailment." My aunt sighed sadly.
"My condolence to all the cancer patients out there" My mom said.
Soon it was night time. I stare out my room window looking at the stars up high.
"I love the stars. They are so pretty." I said pointing.
"No. Nothing is more beautiful than you. You're my little stars in the sky." He said staring at me and I blushed.
Meeting you was divine, being with you was a dream. Knowing you were my friend was beautiful but loosing you is a nightmare. A nightmare I want to wake up from. I wish to see you again, MY HUMBLE STRANGER.
