**Prologue – The Moon’s First Mourning** Long before there were packs or the first howl pierced the peaceful forest air, there existed her. The Moon. She floated above the world, cloaked in silver stillness, observing and waiting. A nameless goddess without followers, burdened only by the cold weight of eternity against her pale surface. Then, one fateful night, the Earth offered her a precious gift. He arrived beneath a blood-red sky, the first child marked by her essence. A boy with eyes sparkling like stars and a spirit so vibrant she could sense it from the far reaches of the cosmos. Mortal. Delicate. Yet ablaze with untamed passion. She adored him. She knew she shouldn’t have. Initially, their connection was confined to dreams—gentle whispers carried by the wind and shadows, her voice a sweet lullaby unheard by any other being. He transformed into a hunter, a guardian.Once there was a man who cherished the forest and had no fear of any creature dwelling within it. Over time, he constructed a temple from stone, a place of solitude and reverence dedicated to her. He offered her prayers and sang songs in her honor. In return, she granted him a gift that no deity should bestow upon a mortal. Her blood. With it, he transformed, becoming more than just a man—stronger, faster, and forever changed when the moonlight touched him. His howl of loyalty echoed through the heavens, and others were drawn to him. The gift spread, and soon the first wolves were born. But the gods were watching closely. They labeled it corruption, an abomination, a grave error of the divine. Their method of punishment was harsh. They wrenched him away from her. They burned his body, shattered their bond, and cursed the blood that once linked them. As he lay dying beneath her sorrowful gaze, the light of the Moon dimmed for the very first time. Since that moment, she has waited, observing her children turn against one another and the world gradually forgetting the truth. Yet she remembers. And when the Blood Moon rises once more… so will he.
