Neil accepts a dirty job offer for money. He is assigned to kill a woman with Roger, his best friend. That woman is Jennifer Holscher-Smith. The wife of David Smith, a millionaire from West Virginia.

However, the appearance of a little girl throws Neil and Roger's job into chaos.

"Daddy, is that you?" The little girl's voice stopped Neil in his tracks.

Instead of killing the little girl, Neil took her away. The case caught the media's attention and launched a massive search for Leah.

Neil chose to take Leah from one place to another with Leah.

How long will Neil be able to escape? Will Leah resent her fake daddy once the truth is revealed?

Chapter 1(A Job)
Washington, D.C. 1 p.m. "What are you doing, Neil? Still going to look at that b***h's corpse? Come on, we don't have much time left!" Roger gripped Neil's black jacket with blood-soaked hands. Neil was silent as his feet were rooted to the spot. Staring into Jennifer's widening eyes. Roger had reached his limit, pulling Neil roughly to make him realise again that they didn't have much time to escape. "Wait, is that woman dead?" "Do you think a person who was stabbed multiple times can still live? I even witnessed her last breath. Let's go!" Roger didn't care that Neil would consider him an asshole; the only thing he was thinking about right now was running away. "Really?" "Of course, come on!" Roger and Neil left the dead Jennifer behind. Roger jumped over the window first. Just as Neil was about to jump, a little girl appeared, hugging his teddy bear. "Daddy, is that you?" The little girl's voice stopped Neil. Their eyes met, and Neil fell silent again. "What is it again, Neil? Still thinking about that b***h? Forget it, come on!" Neil put a finger to his lips to signal Roger to stop talking, then he pointed at the little girl not far from Neil's feet. Roger was surprised. "Damn, why is there a little girl? How could she not tell me this?! Neil, go finish her off and get out of here!" Roger was already a cold-blooded killer, and Neil couldn't think straight. "Wait, she's just a kid! What do you want me to do, kill her?" Neil objected. "Then, what do you think we should do? Let her live and get us caught? Don't be crazy, Bro! Go get your knife and stab her like I stabbed Jennifer!" Roger was already haunted by fear and wanted to leave the mansion immediately. "Who's the guy with you? Your friend?" The little girl's question caught Roger's eye. The demon man gave her a displeased look and had no intention of answering the little girl's question. "Neil, don't waste time. She's already seen our faces. Get it over with!" Roger went to the car across the dark street. The knife was under Neil's black jacket, still clean. Neil looked back at the little girl. Did he have to take that innocent girl's life? Neil was so scared. "You're my father, aren't you? Come in, Mom and I are waiting. Did you come in through the window to surprise Mom? Wow, you're a very romantic man, just like Mom said." The girl didn't look scared; she looked happy and moved closer to Neil. "Wait, I'm not your da ...." Neil almost pulled out his knife when the little girl hugged his left leg. "I miss you, Daddy. And so does Mom." In the car, Roger was still watching Neil, who never killed the little girl. He was determined that if Neil remained silent for two minutes, he would go and kill the little girl himself. Neil tried to let go of the little girl's embrace and aligned himself with the girl. "What's your name?" Neil asked in a low voice. "Leah, I'm your daughter, Leah. Have you forgotten me? Oh, I'm so sad. Did you forget Mom, too? I hope not, even though you haven't been home long." "Oh, God. How can I take the life of this little girl who is missing her father? I can't." Neil's heart rebelled. However, her task tonight was to clean up the mess that had been created. After all, Leah had to be finished off. "I'm sorry, Leah, but I'm not your father, and you shouldn't have appeared before us," Neil whispered. "What did you say? Can you repeat that?" Leah didn't hear what Neil said; she still thought that Neil was her father, who was giving her a surprise return. Little did Leah know, Neil had a knife under his jacket and was about to stab Leah. "I'm sorry, Leah... I'm sorry." Neil made up his mind to kill Leah. Fighting his humanity with all his might, he pulled the knife out from under his jacket. "Leah, where are you?" However, Neil dropped his knife when he heard another female voice appear from nowhere. It sounded hoarse and heavy, like an older woman's voice. Neil became panicked. "That's Grandma's voice," Leah told Neil. "What?!" Neil didn't know that the house was inhabited not only by Jennifer, otherwise he wouldn't have survived. "Grandma, I'm here with Dad! Daddy's home!" Leah was so excited. She pulled Neil's hand to bring him to his grandmother. The knife in Neil's hand fell to the floor, making a loud sound of a knife being thrown. Within seconds, Neil had Leah in his arms and carried her through the vandalised house's side window. "Dad, where are we going? Wait, my teddy bear ...." Leah accidentally dropped her teddy, but Neil ignored her. He ran towards the jeep. Roger's eyes widened. "He's crazy, why bring him here?!" "Roger, drive! Now! Hurry!" Neil's voice trembled, panicked. "By bringing her? You're crazy, Neil!" snapped Roger. "This isn't the time, Roger! There's someone else in there. I don't have time! Hurry up, or we ...." As Neil finished, the sound of the older woman's screams could be heard outside. Roger understood what Neil meant, so he started his car's engine and drove away from Jennifer's house without another thought. Leah, the little girl, was silent, a look of fear in her eyes after seeing the man holding her raise his voice. To her, the two men sounded like they were arguing. "Dadd, where are we going? Why did you leave when Grandmother arrived? Wouldn't it be better for you to meet her?" Neil and Roger exchanged glances. "What's going on, Neil? Dadd? Are you serious?" Roger sounded sarcastic. "Stop it, Rog, this is not the time." Neil turned to Leah. "Leah, you're going to a better place." "Yeah, right, after your mom," Roger said. "Stop it, Rog. You're going to scare her!" "Hahaha, yeah." Leah didn't understand, but she assumed Neil was preparing a surprise for her mother. Little did she know that her mother was dead. Tonight's job is not over yet; Neil and Roger have to kill Leah, who is a living witness to their crime spree. Whatever happens, Leah must die.
