Rune druids setting automatic spells? When I left the Bartlebee, I expected to be surprised by the outside world. I must admit, the Faerie Realm is something else.
More magical bells ring out. An electric sense of magic presses in around me. All along the corridor, runes are written in white chalk. Those pale marks come to life, shifting along the black painted walls. The many white lines come together into five tall rectangles.
After that, they come to life.
“Frames are materializing on the walls,” I report. “I count five in total.”
“Are they mirrors?” asks Dex.
“No, they’re paintings. What’s the spell doing?”
