17 DEX It’s tempting to scoop Grayson into my arms and take her back to Thornfield. My poor Vita is overwhelmed and shivering. But once again, Grayson proves her inner strength. She recovers quickly, stepping toward the object that just appeared. “This mirror is seven feet tall,” says Grayson. “There are special runes all along the frame.” “Is it the wooden frame for osmos?” “No, this one is made of silver.” Grayson taps her forehead. “I’m starting to remember more. This is…” She snaps her fingers. “It’s a portal for passive time travel.” “Passive?” “It means we can visit moments in history and see what happened. People there won’t detect us and we can’t change the past.” I shrug. “Sounds like fun.” “I’ll start the mirror. This time, I think I can do it without any incantations.”
