A silence hangs over us for a moment, before Chase clears his throat and takes a few steps away from me. I stare after him, a longing growing in my chest. I fight the urge to run after him, beg him to finish what he started between us earlier. That would be far too embarrassing though, and so I shift uneasily on my feet. Chase turns back to me, smiling mischievously. "I can feel your desire from here. You'll have to reign it in, or everyone will know. Don't worry, we'll have plenty of time for that later. Tia's waiting on us now." I let out a frustrated puff of air and follow him out of the kitchen.
