Chapter 5

Passion POV

'today is the first day of my suspension. you know how good it feels sleeping in ? amazing. i lazily got out the bed and did my bathroom things. i put on some high waisted shorts, white fitted short sleeved half shirt and my black sandals with my hair in a bun. i walked downstairs, but did not see mama or pops. i looked out the window to see both of their cars gone and only mine in the driveway. well thanks for telling your daughter you were leaving ! i grabbed me an apple and decided to take a walk around the neighborhood. i locked the door and started my way. it felt good out here. i was walking by my old bestfriends house. i looked over and she was sitting on some niggas lap with a whole bunch of girls and guys. my old bestfriends Karen. what happened ? well we were at the mall one day and she wanted this necklace, but did not have enough money. long story short she put it in my bag and blamed it on me for stealing it. after that i cut off all ties with her. now she's like the town h.e, i'm surprised she hasn't caught nothing or got pregnant yet the things i hear she be doing. i walked another block and seen a familiar car at a house. i stopped in my tracks and hid to the side a bit. when the person got out the car i seen that is was Ethan. i was about to go up to him until i seen the passenger side open. i got angry when Emily stepped out the car. i got furious when i seen him walk her up to the door and kiss her. she deepened the kiss and i took out my phone and started snapping pictures. they stopped kissing and he walked back to his car. i hid further and his car speeded past me. i walked myself home and just thought about what Derick told me 'Sometimes love fades and you just have to move on'. i swear i never heard something more real in my life. i never had a reason to end things with Ethan, but now i do. he told me all those things about he wasn't getting attention from me and that he loves me and blah, blah, blah and the whole time he's been getting good attention from Emily. i'm glad i beat her ass before i ended things with Ethan. now she can have him. all of him since to me he was never really all mines. when i walked into the house i saw that my lovely parents decided to go home. when i entered the house i heard moaning. i ran out the house so fast it was crazy. OMG that was just nasty. i never want to hear that again. i texted Derick and asked could he come get me and we can hang since he is the only friend i truly have. everybody else just acts like they like me for when or if they need help with homework or something. FAKE ! he agreed and soon his car pulled up in my driveway. i walked and got in his car. he looked over at me and didn't say anything. he just backed out the driveway and started driving. later we pulled up to this medium sized house. it looked homey. we walked to the front porch and he took out some keys and unlocked the door. a little girl came running and ran into his arms.'

Girl: Derry i missed you !

Derick: missed you too Ke.

Ke: whos she ?

Derick: this is my friend Passion. say hi.

Ke: hi Passion.

Passion: hey sweetie.

'couple seconds later and older woman comes out drying her hands. smiling.'

Woman: Kierra get off your brother. you act like he wasn't here just 25 minutes ago.

'Kierra hopped off of Derick and walked over to where her mom is at.'

Woman: hello dear im Katrina.

Passion: hi Ms. Katrina, im Passion. Derek's friend.

Katrina: nice to meet you sweetie. Derick never brought a girl over before.

'i smiled at that before Derrick pulled my hand led me upstairs. awe, his mommy must have embarrassed him. he opened his room door and it was shockingly clean. we sat down on his bed and he asked me why i never texted him back last night.'

Passion: i was just thinking about what you sent me that all. it was real.

Derick: did you take it into consideration ?

Passion: yeah. i was walking around earlier. caught Ethan kissing Emily. gonna break up with him when i get back to school.

Derick: why not now ?

Passion: cause i don't wanna mess up my god suspension with a break up. i'd rather wait.

Derick: well, i'm glad you dumping ole dude. hes wack.

Passion: he wasn't at first i swear. when we first started dating people looked at me like i was stupid cause he was a nerd, but i knew that behind all that was fine as hell over like the year and a half he really grew into his looks. i guess it got to him cause he got the balls to cheat on me. better be lucky my daddy don't know or it would be worse.

Derick: oh. i see. why you text me to come get you ?

Passion: mom and dad was having s*x when i walked in the door. i swear i ran out the house.

'he made a face and we just laid on his bed talking and getting to know each other. i'm starting to like Derrick, but i don't know how he feels about me and i don't wanna get into a relationship with him. the only thing on my mind right now is finding a way to break up with a guy i been with for over a year.'
