14 Michele had no idea what time to expect Zach to get to work, but it was definitely earlier than when he walked in the door. She had dinner prep all finished and was ready to start making some of the sauces they were running low on when he finally showed up. “We need to talk,” he said. Her stomach immediately dropped to her toes. She knew she’d been doing a good job, but he didn’t look like he was happy. Maybe he found out she agreed to go on a date with Derek and was pissed off about that. Hell, it could be a lot of things. She wiped her hands on her apron and nodded. “Okay.
