At dawn the next day, the final two blocks slid into place. The Immortal Bridge linking the Immortal Mountains that spanned the entire length of both kingdoms was constructed. Dillan let out a deep breath, both from relief and accumulated fatigue. Their progress had slowed around halfway through due to creative differences. He had wanted a simple arched design while Serena argued for spires and curling columns. Apparently that would set their bridge apart from the rest that had been built through the centuries.
