Chapter four

"God I miss high school parties.", Lily said with a sigh.

"Every one of us misses the party except Ryx and Asher.", Sam corrected his girlfriend.

"Speak for yourself, I miss the parties too.", Asher said.

"You only attended once and you got too drunk that Ryx had to take care of your ass.", Trent said.

"That was the only time he was away from Ryx and yet he couldn't stop saying your name.", Olivia added.

"I didn't know that.", Ryx said with a known smirk on his face which made Asher groan in embarrassment.

"I didn't call your name at all.", He denied but Asher didn't believe.

"What a great friends I have.", He said sarcastically and they all laughed.

They had been friends since high school, Sam and lily were already together even before they met.

Asher dated Olivia for a month but they broke it off in a friendly matter and still became friends and then Trent was friends with Ryx first and then became friends with others.

Before Trent and Olivia became a thing, Trent had asked Asher if he was okay with him dating his ex but Asher said he had no issue with it.

Although he couldn't help but be jealous at some point but he's glad that they are happy .

At least he still has Ryx but he just hopes that his girlfriend won't take Ryx away from him.

"Can you guys just stay away from each other just for this night?", Ryx complained watching the heavy make out session among the couples.

"More reason you two should get a girlfriend.", Lily said as she placed a kiss on sam's cheek.

"What about that girl that gave you her number last week?", Trent asked Ryx who just glared at him.

Asher asked surprised, "Trent knows something I don't?"

"The information is useless, there was no reason to tell you.", Ryx defended.

"When did you two even hangout that I didn't know of?"

"So I can't hang out with Trent now?"

"That's not the point!", Asher hissed.

"What's the point then?", Ryx demanded.

Seeing the atmosphere was tense, their friends looked at each other thinking of how to stop them.

"We didn't really hang out, we were ......", Trent tried explaining but he was cut off.

"What if we were hanging out? Trent is my friend and I will hang out with him, you are not my only friend.", Ryx said angrily.

"I am not just your friend, I am your best friend."

"You don't expect me to stay and do nothing when my best friend is out hooking up with different girls.", Ryx said trying not to raise his voice.

"Guys I think ...."

"That's why I f*****g invite you every single time because I don't want you to feel left out, that's why I didn't attend parties in high school but now I can't just kill my social life just because my best friend doesn't have one.", Asher snapped.

"I don't think it is about you anymore.", Sam whispered to Trent.

"I didn't ask you to stay with me, I didn't ask you to become my best friend.... You came up to me first remember?", Ryx said and Ash glared hard at him.

"Fine then! Sorry I approached you first and stayed with when you needed someone, I hope your new best friend does better than me.", Ash said and then glared at each other.
