Ellie's POV
I was so tired and cold, and my entire body just hurt but the throbbing in my arm and face was the worst. I just wanted to sleep but every time I tried, they would either come down here and throw more ice water on me or tighten the zip tie around my neck. It was now to the point where there was a slight restriction. They had only been down here twice to do that but if they came down anymore and tightened it, I wouldn't last long.
I heard heavy footsteps come inside again and then more yelling with my mother and then the heavy footsteps came down the stairs. My guess, it's Tate's father. He came right in front of me, and I was right. I looked up at him and then just hung my head. I didn't have the energy to fight him again.
