Franco scanned Susan's plunging neckline with a darkened gaze, then his eyes returned to her plump lips, and soon fixed his gaze on her beautiful green orbs.
"I remember you said there would be no s*x between us. What's the reason for the change?" he inquired before answering her question.
Susan felt her chest heaving, unsure if she was doing the right thing. She just needed something to give her strength to face what was supposed to come when she set foot on Italian soil.
"I let you into my life for one night, a night I vaguely remember," her voice quivered. "Now I owe you my father's freedom and your help, in exchange for my services." Her gaze grew glassy. "Make being your substitute girlfriend worth it," she said, never taking her eyes off him, feeling her heart tremble.
