A kiss for the Hero(Spiderman x Reader)

"Trust can mould strangers into lovers."

You sighed. It was pretty late at night . So why were you out at this late at night ? Because you just finished your group study with your (best friend's name) and were walking back home. Your home was far from your friend's home. Studying literature sure carried you away. You both lost track of time. Your friend insisted for you to stay at her house for that night because it was well past 10 but you had to return home. After all you had to finish your assignment and tomorrow was the last date of submission.

You walked along the empty street. Very few people were out at this time. Only a handful. You felt a wet substance on your cheek. You looked up . Great. Now it's poring. What a luck. You clutched the straps of your bag and decided to take a shortcut for your home. So you turned on an alley , it was a shortcut to your home. s**t. The alley was even darker . You got out your phone and turned on the flash light.

As you were walking down the alley , you heard footsteps behind you. Your eyes went wide and you felt fear grip your heart. You turned back ,

"Who is there ?"

You asked in a shaky voice mingled with confidence. You were met with silence. Your fear intensified. You started walking again . Those footsteps were heard, again. Your anxiety caused you to pick up your pace and soon you were running.

And soon the footsteps were coming nearer and it seemed like that person was running too. The footsteps came nearer and a hand grabbed you. A cold thing was pressed against your throat, and a hand wrapped around your waist from behind.

"Scream and you die. "

You gulped. The man had a knife pressed against your throat.

"Now be a good girlie and give me all the money you have. "

"I...I--I have...n-no money... I am a stu-dent."

Your voice was shaking with fear. He was a thug . Thugs were common in Manhattan.

"Well then , I asked politely but it seems that I will have to be nasty. "

He pressed the knife harder , drawing a little blood. You let out a whimper as tears welled up in your eyes.

"Please... Let me go..."

"Not till you hand me over a the money you have "

"You should listed to the lady there , you know. It's for your own good. "

A voice spoke from above you both. A splash was heard as the man came down from wherever he was.

"Well well well. If it's not the Spider-boy. "

"This Spider-boy is gonna kick your sorry a*s if you don't let the girl go."

"Oh yeah ? I would like to see that--"

A web was shot to his mouth , rendering him incapable of talking any further.

"You know , you talk too much. Learn to keep quite sometime."

And then another web attached to the knife which was pressed on your throat and plunged it away from the thug's hand and into Spidey's hand.

"Thugs like you shouldn't handle knives. It's dangerous."

Spiderman said in a mocking tone while landing a kick , square on the man's face. Soon the man was on the ground groaning in pain.

Spidey came up to you,

"Are you okay ?"

"Umm, y-yes.. Thank you Spiderman."

You were thankful that he came. But suddenly you were very conscious about your appearance. Dripping wet due to the rain with mud on your shoes from running in the alley.

"A kiss for the hero ?"

"Huh ?"

Your eyes went wide . Not because of shock but because you didn't expect that coming. Quite out of the blue it was. But oh well , you were not the one to complain. After all , it's not everyday that Spiderman asks for a kiss from you.

"Sure Spidey ."

Suddenly he shot his web to a window shade and hanged upside down.,

"Had to get in position for the kiss. "

You giggled and placed your hands on his masked cheeks , pressing your lips to his masked ones. He let out a groan.

"That's not even a real kiss ! "

This caused you to giggled even more. You finally decidef to stop teasing him and pulled his mask down , pressing your lips to his.

It was a sweet gentle loving kiss. It gave you a sense of security , like you were safe with him. Even though you didn't know who he was , his real identity, it felt as though you had known him for a long time. Like he was one of the friends with whom you hanged out at school.

You pulled away from the kiss witha smile illuminating your countenance.

"Well, it doesn't look like the rain is gonna stop any time soon. So how about a ride to your home ?"

You were glad that he offered because you didn't want to run into another thug. One thug for one night is enough.

From the smile that appeared on your lips , he understood your answer and slipped one hand around your waist , bringing you closer to his body and shoot a web on a building from the web shooter on his free hand.

"Here we go Ma'am. Get ready for we are gonna have fun ! "

With that he took off , flying through the sky , web slinging from one building to another.

The only sounds that could be heard were the excited cheers of a teenage boy and girl through the city that rainy night. As if they were on a rollercoaster ride.

"Wohoo !"

"Ahh !!"

Soon , he stopped on the roof of your house .

"So , how was it ? Awesome? Amazing? Incredible? "

"Wow. It was great !"

"Hahaha... I should have expected that you would say that (y/n) "

And that's when it crossed your mind. You never told him your name or the address to your house for that fact.

"How.... How do you know my name ? And the fact that I live....here ?"

His masked eyes went wide like a kid who has just been Busted !

" Well... I.. I.. "

He stammered with his hand rubbing the back of his neck. From his actions one could easily understand that he was nervous.

He looked around to see whether anyone was watching or any CCTV were overlooking you both and once he was assured that none were looking at you both , he looked at you .

And he dud something you would never have thought he would do.

He pulled off his mask.

"Peter ?!"

"Shh!"

Peter quickly covered your mouth with his gloved hand and tried to calm you down , in the process, backing you up on the wall that was behind you. And once you calmed down , he removed his hand.

" Peter... You are.. the Spiderman ?"

Your eyes searched his and once your gaze locked , he sighed ,

"Yes."

"How ?"

You couldn't believe that your childhood friend , the one on whom you had a crush on , was the hero who saved you and with whom you just shared a kiss with.

"A great man's words inspired me. With great powers , comes great responsibilities."

He looked away , breaking eye contact with you.

"Oh Peter...."

You placed a gentle hand on his shoulder and felt him take a deep breath. Probably to calm himself down.

"Let's not talk about that now. By the way , that wasn't your first kiss, was it ?"

"Umm, yes. But why "

His eyes went wide.

"You gave your first kiss to a stranger?"

"You are no stranger,"

"Well you didn't know that I was Spiderman,"

"But i felt safe with you."

The corners of your mouth turned up into a smile as you remembered the kiss .

"I.. I thought that you loved Harry ,"

A bitter smile played at his lips, melancholy in his eyes.

"What ? No ! Why would you even think that ?"

"Because... You and Harry are always hanging out together,"

"No Peter , Harry and me are just friends. Nothing more , nothing less "

"Well then I could say without any guilt of marring the relation of my best friends that ,"

He took a deep breath ,

"I love you , (y/n) . I always have and I would always continue to love you. With all my heart. "

He then went down , on one knee and posed in a position of proposing.

"Be my girlfriend (y/n) and make me the luckiest man on this planet."

Your p.o.v

I couldn't contain my excitement. I placed my hand in his and gladly said,

"I would. Gladly. "

I can't believe this. I thought that he loved MJ. But for confirmation,

"Pete , don't you like MJ ?"

"No. The only girl I have interest in is in front of me."

And with that he stood up erect . I flew into his arms , hugging him .

Tears of joy escaped my eyes as a wrapped my arms around his neck , burying my face in the crook of his neck, inhaling his scent . He was quite a bit taller than me , so I had to stand on my tip toes while I hugged him.

"I love you too Pete !"

My voice was muffled as I had my face burried on the crook of his neck.

He pulled away from the hug and stared at my face , moving a stray strand of my hair behind my ear while he stared lovingly at me.

A smile graced both our faces.

And then we our lips met for another kiss . A kiss that sealed the promise of love in that night.

Normal P. O. V

And what the two love birds didn't even notice was that the rain had stopped , long ago.

Extended ending :

"Gah !!! Peter !! Help !"

A (h/c) haired girl screamed as she sprang up from her position on her friends room .

"Nngh... (Y/n) , what's the matter ? Why screaming so early in the morning ?"

A sleepy male voice answered from the bathroom.

"There...there is a... SPIDER here ! And it's big !!"

The male came out of the bathroom , looks like he had hurriedly brushed his teeth.

Peter came over to where you stood terrified and said,

"Well , that's a big one. I wonder where it came from. "

"Just get it away from here !!"

Well , you see that you were having a night over at you boyfriend's and it was too late outside. Though your rented room was just below his floor , you were too lazy to move and his pleads further added to the reasons why you should stay and you stayed the night at his. And now you were here , sitting on his bed , having just brushed your teeth as Peter disposed of the spider.

You let out a sigh of relief. The spider was out now. Well you can't help it , spiders were so....so....scary.

As Peter came back and layed down on the bed , beside you.

"Phew.. now that was scary. "

"Pete, don't tell me , that you too dislike Spiders "

"Well , yes. I too am scared of spiders."

And with that , you brust out laughing .

"You are Spiderman for God's sake , And you are afraid of Spiders ?"

"Hey ! You are no better ! You are dating Spiderman and are afraid of Spiders"
