Chapter 26

Sam's POV

Tonight is Sadie Hawkins dance night. Blaine went here with Tina. And I'm stuck here alone. Kate really asked Jake and I guess they both are item now. Well, I'm still love her and my feelings for her will never change except growing bigger and bigger.

But what else I can do? I do want to see Kate happy. I do want to see her feel in love. But maybe the destiny for now it's not with me. But soon or later? Nobody knows.

Besides that Jake really shows her that he is into her. Jake rejected all the girls in McKinley who crazy about him only for Kate and how can Kate not be impressed with that? Impossible.

I take a glass of punch and then drink that. I turn my face and I suddenly get choked when I turn my face to the entrance.

Kate and Jake walk in and holding hands at each other. And she is super duper beautiful. Or I can say that she is the most beautiful girl in here tonight. But she walk here with another guy not with me and I got nothing to do with that.

"Dude, we gotta perform." Joe holds my shoulder and points to the stage.

I nodded and place my cup on the table and then walk to the stage and take the head microphone.

"What's up, McKinley? We've got quite the set. We'd like to dedicate this song to all the strong, proud and empowered ladies who stuck their necks out to make this happen.

This week, you showed us what it feels like to wait anxiously by the phone that never rings. The horror when all your friends get asked to the dance, and you don't, and you have to sit there...." Artie got cut off.

I take my black suit and the music start begin and then we start singing.

We ended up our performance will full of applauding from the others. Slow music start begin. I just walk off from the stage and take my black suit.

"Hey, you look stunning with that dress." I smile at Kate.

"I'm just trying to impress Jake, you know." Kate chuckles.

"Well..." I got cut off.

"Hey, do you wanna dance?" Jake suddenly interupts us and smiles at Kate.

"Yeah sure." Kate smiles at him.

"Nice performance, man." Jake says to me and walk to the dance floor with Kate.

I just half-smiled at them and walk to the corner. Last prom she was with me. But now I see her dancing with another guy. I really wanna find an empty room and crying out loud but I cant.

Kate considering me as her bestfriend even it's more than that for me. But looking at her happy is my happiness. Well, I guess that my love for her is really big. Even bigger than the world. I cant tell how much I love her.

"Sam? Dude?" Someone waving his hand in front of my face.

I turn my face and realize that Finn is standing next to me. "You've been there since when?"

"Since you cant stop starring at Kate." Finn simply said and walk away.

"Dude, you cant tell this to her or anyone elss." I frown at Finn.

"I swear I wont tell anyone else." Finn says to me.

"This is just stupid, you know. I dont know since when but we had summer fling and she is the only one person that knows me so well. Even better than anyone else. Even than myself." I sigh.

"Wanna take my advice? Never give up. She is special. She is different and remember that true love will always find a way. For now, she might be with anyone else but next? She might be beg for your love. Who knows. That's the thing that I always keep in my mind between Rachel and I. We are endgame." Finn says to me and walk away.

Yeah Finn is totally right. And no, I'm not type of a guy who give up easily. Kate is very special and she is my everything and I will get my precious thing back. Just wait for that time.

Kate's POV

I'm dancing while slow music is playing. Jake holds my left hand with his right hand and I put my right hand around his waist so does him. This is just beautiful.

"Everyone is starring at us." I said to Jake.

"They starring at you because you are the most beautiful girl tonight." Jake says to me.

"Dont try to be a romantic guy. You arent like that. And when you say some cheesy word it turns out to be disgusting and crazy." I chuckle.

"Crazy about you." Jake smiles at me.

"I really like you, Jake. I dont know or maybe like I'm getting into Puckerman's zone again." I giggle.

"And dont worry, I'm so much different than Puck. And you have to trust me." Jake says to me.

"Why should I?" I ask him.

"I got to be honest with you. After the girls sang that song and I came to you, Kitty came over me. She told me to dump you but I dont wanna do that. I called Puck and I guess he know what he should do to pull her away from me. I just wanna be a good guy. I really like you and I mean it." Jake says to me.

"Is there anything else that you did for me?" I ask him.

"Yes, but I dont wanna tell you." Jake smiles at me.

I smile back at him and lean my head on his chest as we are still dancing. I'm in love. I'm in love with this guy in front of me. With a guy who dance with me right now. I guess Jake is different with Puck even they're Puckerman but they're different.

"Jake?" I turn my face at him.

"Hmm?" Jake turn his face at me and raises his eyebrows at me.

"I really want to be with you but I just want you to be yourself without the womanizer part. I dont care with your bad boy attitude because that's who you are. You're rebel like Puck but I'm afraid to getting hurt anymore so if you want to be with me, just be yourself and clear that womanizer part." I said to him.

"You're the most amazing woman that I've ever met and dont worry, I wont hurt you. I'm not Puck." Jake smiles at me.

The slow music finally stops. Jake push his face closer to me about to kiss me but I stop him. "I'll be right back." I grin at him and walk away.

I turn my face and Jake just chuckles and shake his head. I walk away and turn my way to the stage and standing on the stage with the others girls there as we are ready perform our song.

"Yeah, McKinley! Okay, a friendly reminder: Uh, don't eat the snowflakes. They're fake. And the glitter sticks to the roof of your mouth." Brittany says to the others.

"All right, ladies, grab your date and get on the dance floor!" Tina says from the microphone.

"Because the guys were just a warm-up but the main attraction is us!" Sugar says over the microphone.

The music start begin and we start doing our choreograph for our performance and singing the back up.

We ended up our song and then another upbeat music start playing again. I walk off from the stage and turn my face until I see Puck is dancing with Kitty. So this is what he did to keep Kitty away from Jake? Bring her to Sadie Hawkins and maybe after that they will book a room in a hotel. That's it? I always can guess that.

"You okay?" Jake asks me.

"I just saw Puck dance with Kitty then she brough him out from here." I said to Jake.

"Screw them. Not our business." Jake says to me and holds my hand.

"Wanna get some punch? I saw pink baby cupcakes while we were dancing by the way." I chuckle.

"Sure. I know that you love that." Jake smiles at me. "Come on." Jake chuckles and walks lead me and hold my hand.

I'm just holding his hand and walk behind him. I look around and I dont see Blaine and Sam around. They must be busy with glee club evidence about The Warblers cheating during sectionals.

"Pink baby cupcake." Jake chuckles and give that baby cupcake to me.

"Sometimes I dont want to eat that." I chuckle.

"Why?" Jake asks me.

"Because this is too cute." I grin at Jake.

"You're cuter than this one." Jake simply said.

"Well, since Kurt isnt here I can eat these as much as I want." I giggle and eat that cupcake.

Jake just standing in front of me and chuckles while looking at me with his cute baby face. "Awesome dress, Kate." A cheerios girl smiles at me and standing in the middle of us.

"Thanks." I fake smile at her.

She take a glass of punch but she cant stop smirk at Jake and Jake just pretend like he doesnt see her or anything. I roll my eyes and then cross my hand on my chest until that girl walk away from us. I dont even know her name.

"Awesome dress, Kate." I grunt. "Like we ever talk before ugh." I roll my eyes.

"Okay stop it. I dont wanna my Sadie Hawkins dance become boring because of you being jealous on me with that girl." Jake says to me and holds my hand then bring me to the dance floor.

"I didnt jealous." I frown at him.

"Oh really? When you rolled your eyes when she smirked at me and fake smiled at her?" Jake smirks at me.

"How could you know that?" I grin at Jake and hold his hand as we both start having slow dance.

"How much I have to tell you that I've seen you and you're the only thing I see? Look, I really like you. And I want to be with you. I promise you I wont hurt you. You're perfect. You make me feel awesome and special." Jake smiles at me.

"Really?" I chuckle.

"Yeah. You're amazing and I really like everything about you." Jake says to me.

"Include I'm a fashion freak, left-handed, then sometimes can be geeky and annoying as hell, and I have a gay bestfriend also a former teenager stripper as my bestfriend? And I have gay big brother then have a step brother who used to be my ex boyfriend?" I raise my eyebrows at Jake.

"Those all my favorite things about you. Fashion freak, left-handed, your diva attitude, or-or your geeky brain when you're geeking out about something. I'm the one who came on to you and want to be with you and if you accept me for the way I am, why cant I accept you for the amazing you are? I dont want anybody else. All I need is you." Jake smiles at me.

"Stop being so cheesy, I know you're not a romantic guy." I smile back at him.

"Okay, just keep dance with me." Jake chuckles. "And Ryder really meaning his song by starring at you."

"I know he has crush on me but I'm crazy about you. Besides that I dont like the way he forced me to tell him about the guy I was going to ask to Sadie Hawkins dance. And I cant count how many times he did that." I said to Jake.

"Because he was expecting you to ask him." Jake says to me.

"But I dont want to okay. I mean if you were really accepted Marley's offer, I might be at my home, watching the dvd you gave me and then fall asleep." I said to him.

"But now, I'm here. I also dont wanna go to the dance with someone that I dont like either." Jake simply said.

"Liar." I chuckle.

"I'm not lying." Jake chuckles.

I just chuckle and we both look at each other. Jake pushes his face closer to me then kisses me softly. I cant help it and kiss him back while we both are still having slow dance.

Jake and I pull our lips away and smiling at each other. I lean my head on his shoulder as we both are still dancing and Jake just lean his head on me and kisses my head. Well, I guess I just found a new love in my life.

"Why would on earth you asked us to have sleepover here?" Blaine asks me.

"To celebrate." I grin at Blaine and Sam.

"Celebrate what? My birthday is still in couple months." Sam frowns at me.

"Let's just say that we are having bachelor party." I grin at them.

"Are you getting married or something?" Blaine frowns.

"Nope. But I'm getting to date someone else. And I want to celebrate it with two most important persons in my life and they're you both so we have sleepover here. I already prepare popcorn, movies, and cokes, and then we can have fun. I asked my dad and you both are allowed to have sleepover here since Blaine is gay and Sam is closet gay." I said to them.

"You mean Jake?" Sam frowns at me.

"Yeah he was super cute and his baby face really makes me crazy and I'm in love with him. Even though I know that you both are sad singles but we are bestfriend so I can consider that Jake is also your boyfriend now." I grin at them. "Okay enjoy. I'm gonna have my sleeping party outfit." I said to them and walk to my walk in closet.

Sam's POV

I raise my eyebrows and sit down on the carpet floor and eat the popcorn as Kate walks into her walk in closet.

"This is weird." Blaine whisper at me.

"Dude, at least she forget about Burt's cancer for a while. Show some respect." I simply said.

"Yeah. That's better actually." Blaine sighs and open his coat then walk to Kate's walk in closet.

Yeah that's better. At least I get a chance to sleep next to her one last time before she is officially become Jake's girlfriend and I wont get a chance like that unless she can keep secret but that's cheating. Oh only cuddle and sleep next to each other. Not cheating. Even when we had nationals in Chicago, I almost cuddle with Mike and Tina didnt say Mike was cheating with me.

I know that Sadie Hawkins yesterday was really moving. For Kate and Jake. They both always together and I bet they already told each other's feeling and back then, I got nothing to do.

"Alright here is the deal. My bed is quiet big and we can sleep there together. Yeay. And tomorrow we will go to school together or we can skip that if we want." Kate grins at us and wearing her pajama.

"We cant. We have to show the others that we get our choir room back." Blaine says to Kate.

"I know that." Kate sighs.

"Alright just watch movie and I promise I wont make any impression during the movie." I said to them.

"I actually kinda sleepy." Blaine simply said.

"Well, I just pick the movie. It's a horror movie. And we can turn the lights off and lay down together in my bed." Kate grins at us and put the dvd into the dvd player and turn on the tv.

"Your dad give your tv back?" I ask her.

"Yeah. Because he said he cant sleep after watching tv in his room." Kate simply said and sit down on her bed. "Come on, you guys."

"Kate, I dont mean to but I'm really sleepy because I kinda got headache this noon and my mom give me painkiller and it really affect on me." Blaine says to Kate.

"Just sleep here. I'm here. And Sam's here." Kate says to us as she already prepared and divided her big bed for three of us.

I close the door and turn off the lights. Blaine lay down his body in Kate's bed and make aslant facing her. She just sit down in the middle with her back against the wall. I walk to her bed and sit down next to her on her right side.

"This bed is huge." I said to her.

"Ssshhhh." Kate hissed and put her finger in front of my mouth.

I just chuckle and put my hand around her shoulder until she lean on her head on my shoulder and looking at the tv. I know Kate so bad. Just countdown ten minutes from now, she will fall asleep.

She crosses her hand around my arm and still leaning her head to my shoulder. I turn my face at her and she is still awake but cant stop yawning. See? I know her so bad.

"Did Jake knows Blaine and I are here?" I ask her.

She nodded. "Yeah. I told him to understand about our friendship because no matter what our friendship come first. Dont worry, we still can hangin out together."

"So you and him are really dating?"

"Kind of but we havent make it official. He wants to be with me and I want to be with him and we understand each other. I think I found a new love in my life." Kate chuckles and leave my shoulder. "I'm sleepy. If you still want to watch that just watch that." Kate says to me and lay her body in her bed and make aslant facing Blaine and put her hand around his chest.

I turn my face at her and rub her hair. Well, glad she said that. Nothing's gonna change between us and I promise. I will be the person that would be there when need someone to lean on or somewhere to rely on. I wont make her sad. I just wanna see her happy.
