SHAWN’S P.O.V I made my way to my father’s office. He had an electronic lock on it, but fortunately his code was easy to figure out. My father is anything if not predictable. I slipped into the dark room and switched on the light. The room was plain, void of any kind of personality. No pictures of our family or any plants to speak of. The walls were panted a slate gray. A computer on his desk, filing cabinets, and the books on the shelf were all that decorated this space. I rummaged through the drawers in his desk; finding mostly company logs of shipments and equipment requests. I moved onto the filing cabinets and found contracts with investors.
