As the days past Maxi was still waiting on a call from Roy but every since he left after they had lunch. He made so many promises and she really hopes he meant it and that he will keep his promises, because she doesn't want to be disappointed again by his actions. Today was her second appointment at Dr Dominique's clinic so she thought it will be nice if Roy could join her and she would really appreciate it if he comes with. So Maxi called Roy but the phone was just ringing no one picked up and her appointment is in a hour so she can't be late for it. Maxi went back into her room because she just wanted to be alone and didn't understand why Roy haven't called her yet. She was sitting in her room feeling sad and after thirty minutes her phone was ringing and to her surprise it was Roy so she answered. Roy started "sorry babe I missed your call I was busy talking to someone about finding a job but yho as you know it's kinda hard for me because I don't always have money for public transport so I had to walk that's why I did hear my phone" without even saying hello or asking how are you and the baby doing he started to complain about money and transport. Maxi than asked him so where are you now and did you get the job I'm on my way to the doctor and I want you to come with me for my checkup. Roy's response was "damn babe I would have loved to but I'm afraid I won't make it in time as I just told you I don't have money to buy a ticket for the bus or to drive with a taxi. It would've been so much easier if I had my own vehicle" Maxi than asked Roy if she could send him some money for a ticket and also wanted to know how much she should send. Roy said one thousand dollars would be enough for him to get himself a private cab. Maxi immediately asked where to should I send the money give me your account number without any hesitation Roy told her to use his cell phone number. So she send him one thousand dollars to go with her to see the doctor. It was time for Maxi to go and see the doctor for her to be in time for her appointment at the clinic. She called the driver and so they departured to the clinic Maxi was so excited to meet up with Roy at the clinic she even told the driver to drive faster. On the arrival at the clinic there were no sign of Roy Maxi than tried to call him again but guess what his cellphone was turned off. Maxi was feeling betrayed she kept saying to herself maybe his running late, maybe his still waiting on his cab and his cellphone ran out of battery now it's off and that He'll never lie to her. She was sitting there looking at the clinic door hoping that he'll be the next person walking in but sadly Roy never came and she underwent her checkup all alone. Dr Dominique noticed that her blood pressure was hight so he recommended that she should try to reframe from stressful situations or anything that's stresses her out. Maxi immediately opened up towards the doctor and told him everything. The doctor listened attentively and after Maxi has finished he ask her if the baby father was worth all this drama and recommended that she should try to reach out more to her best friend Nickey so that she can have someone other than her family members to talk to whenever she feel overwhelmed and that their friendship isn't worth losing over a man she barely knows , but maxi softly said she will try but all of them don't want to see her and Roy together. Dr Dominique just laughed and stroke her head while saying things will work out for the best and your friends and family only cares about you and your unborn child which is a very good thing because now you have a support system. You should have a good day Miss Maxi and try to rest as much as you can. Maxi than left the clinic and went back home still wondering why Roy didn't come.
