CONFESSION

2245 Words
Ava sat on a bench in a quiet courtyard within the palace compound, lost in thought. She had been struggling to come to terms with the proposal from Prince Ryder, and her feelings for Liam only added to her confusion.
As she sat there, staring blankly at the stone floor, she heard the sound of footsteps approaching. She looked up to see Liam walking by, his eyes scanning the courtyard as he went about his duties.
When he spotted Ava sitting on the bench, he changed direction and approached her. "Princess," he said, bowing his head slightly. "Is everything all right? You seem lost in thought."
Ava smiled weakly, feeling a sense of comfort in Liam's presence. "I'm fine, Liam," she said. "Just thinking about some things."
Liam's expression was understanding, and he sat down beside her on the bench. "Would you like to talk about it?" he asked, his voice low and gentle.
Ava hesitated for a moment, unsure if she should confide in Liam. But something about his kind and understanding nature put her at ease. "I don't know if I can marry Prince Ryder," she said, her voice barely above a whisper.
Liam's eyes locked onto hers, and Ava felt a spark of electricity run through her body. "Why not?" he asked, his voice filled with curiosity.
Ava took a deep breath and let her words spill out. "I feel like my heart belongs to someone else," she said, her voice filled with emotion.
Liam's expression was unreadable, but Ava could sense the tension in his body. "Who is it?" he asked, his voice barely above a whisper.
Ava's heart skipped a beat as she looked into Liam's eyes. "It's you," she said, her voice filled with emotion.
The air was thick with tension as Liam's eyes locked onto hers. Ava's heart was racing, and she knew that she had taken a risk by confessing her feelings.
Liam's face was inches from hers, and Ava could feel the warmth of his breath on her skin. For a moment, they just stared at each other, the world around them melting away.
Then, without a word, Liam reached out and gently brushed a strand of hair behind Ava's ear. The touch sent shivers down her spine, and she knew that she was in trouble.
"Ava," Liam whispered, his voice husky with emotion. "I have feelings for you too."
Ava's heart soared, and she felt like she was floating on air. She knew that she had taken a risk by confessing her feelings, but it seemed that Liam felt the same way.
As they sat there, their faces inches apart, Ava knew that she had to make a choice. Would she follow her heart and risk everything, or would she marry Prince Ryder and fulfill her duty to the kingdom?
The decision would not be easy, but Ava knew that she couldn't ignore her feelings for Liam. She had to find a way to be with him, no matter the cost.
But as they sat there, lost in each other's eyes, Ava knew that their love was forbidden. Liam was just a servant, and she was a princess. Their social differences seemed insurmountable, and Ava wondered if they would ever be able to overcome them.
Despite the challenges ahead, Ava knew that she had to try. She had to fight for her love, no matter the cost. And as she looked into Liam's eyes, she knew that she would do anything to be with him.
The tension between them was palpable. Ava's heart was racing, and she could feel Liam's warm breath on her skin. They were on the verge of sharing their first kiss when they heard the sound of footsteps approaching.
Without hesitation, Liam quickly grabbed Ava's hand and pulled her up from the bench. They exchanged a fleeting glance, and Ava's heart skipped a beat as she saw the intensity in Liam's eyes.
They ran hand in hand through the palace gardens, the sound of footsteps growing fainter as they distanced themselves. They didn't stop until they reached a secluded spot, hidden behind a row of tall hedges.
Breathless and laughing, Ava leaned against Liam, her heart still racing from their sprint. Liam's arms wrapped around her, holding her close as they both tried to catch their breath.
In that moment, Ava felt like she was exactly where she was meant to be. She looked up at Liam, her eyes locking onto his, and felt a deep connection.
Liam's face was inches from hers, and Ava could feel the electricity between them. They stood there, frozen in time, their hearts beating as one.
The world around them melted away, leaving only the two of them, lost in each other's eyes. Ava knew that she had found her soulmate in Liam, and she was willing to risk everything to be with him.
The sound of birds chirping, the rustling of leaves, and the distant chatter of palace guards all faded into the background. All that mattered was the two of them, lost in each other's eyes.
Liam's hands gently caressed Ava's face, his fingers tracing the contours of her cheeks and jawline. Ava's skin tingled with delight, and she felt a shiver run down her spine.
Without a word, Liam leaned in, his lips brushing against Ava's in a soft, gentle kiss. Ava's heart skipped a beat as she felt a rush of emotions. She wrapped her arms around Liam's neck, deepening the kiss.
The world around them disappeared, leaving only the two of them, lost in the magic of their first kiss. Time stood still as they savored the moment, their hearts beating as one.
As they finally broke apart, gasping for air, Ava smiled up at Liam. "I've wanted to do that for so long," she whispered.
Liam's eyes sparkled with amusement. "I've wanted to do that for so long too," he replied, his voice low and husky.
Ava's heart fluttered at the sound of his voice, and she knew that she was hopelessly in love with Liam. She leaned in, her lips brushing against his again, and they lost themselves in another passionate kiss.
Lost in their passionate kiss, they didn’t notice the figure watching them from the shadows. It wasn’t until they heard a faint clearing of the throat that they broke apart, their faces flushed with surprise. Ava’s eyes widened as she saw the Queen standing before them, a look of shock and concern etched on her face.

The Queen's expression was unforgiving. "Ava, what is going on here?" she demanded, her voice low and controlled, but with an undercurrent of anger.
Ava looked down, her face burning with shame. "Mother, I...I can explain," she stammered.
But the Queen wasn't interested in explanations. "This is unacceptable," she said, her voice rising. "You are a princess, and you will not behave in such a manner with a servant. It's beneath you."
Liam took a step forward, his eyes flashing with defiance. "Your Majesty, I—"
But the Queen cut him off. "You will be silent," she said, her voice cold. "You are nothing but a servant, and you will not speak unless spoken to."
The Queen turned back to Ava. "You will come with me now," she said. "We will discuss this further with your father."
Ava nodded, feeling a sense of dread wash over her. She knew she was in trouble, and she didn't know how she was going to get out of this situation.
The Queen turned to leave, expecting Ava to follow her. As they walked, Ava glanced back at Liam, who stood frozen in place, his eyes locked on hers. She knew she had to find a way to talk to him, to explain what was happening. But for now, she had to face her parents and the consequences of her actions.
The Queen led Ava to the King's chamber, her anger and disappointment evident in every step. As they entered the grand room, the King looked up from his throne, his expression stern.
"Ah, my dear," he said to the Queen, "what brings you here with such a look of distress on your face?"
The Queen's voice was firm. "Ava has been caught in a compromising position with one of the servants, Liam," she said, her words dripping with disdain. "I found them together, and I brought her here to discuss this further with you."
The King's face darkened, his eyes narrowing in anger. "Tell me, Ava, what is the meaning of this?" he demanded, his voice low and menacing.
Ava trembled, knowing she was in grave trouble. "Father, I—"
But the King cut her off, his anger boiling over. "How dare you!" he thundered, slamming his fist on the throne. "You, my own daughter, cavorting with a common servant? It's an outrage! A travesty!"
The Queen stood beside the King, her expression stern. "Ava, you must understand the gravity of your actions. Your behavior reflects not only on yourself, but on our entire kingdom."
The King's anger seemed to grow with each passing moment. "I will not be embarrassed by my own daughter's foolishness! You will do as I say, Ava. You will obey me, or suffer the consequences."
Ava felt tears streaming down her face, as she realized the gravity of her situation. She knew she had to find a way to be with Liam, but her father's anger and determination seemed insurmountable.
The King's words hung in the air, heavy with threat. Ava's heart pounded in her chest as she struggled to find her voice. "Father, please...understand," she begged, her voice shaking. "I didn't mean to disobey you. I couldn't help how I feel."
The King's expression turned cold, his eyes glinting with fury. "Your feelings?" he repeated. "You will not have feelings for a servant, Ava. You will marry Prince Ryder, as arranged. You will do your duty to this kingdom, and you will not shame me further with your behavior."
Ava felt a sob rising in her throat as she looked at her stepmother, pleading for understanding. But the Queen's face was unyielding, her eyes stern.
The King's anger still simmered, his eyes blazing with fury. "And as for the servant, Liam," he spat, his voice dripping with disdain. "He will pay for his role in this debacle. He will be stripped of his position with serious punishment after which he will be banished from the kingdom. If he is ever seen within our borders again, he will face severe punishment."
Ava's heart sank at the thought of Liam being punished so harshly. She knew her father would not be swayed, but she had to try. "Father, please...have mercy," she begged, her voice trembling.
But the King was unmoved. "Mercy?" he repeated, his voice cold. "You want me to show mercy to the man who has brought shame to our family? No, Ava. Justice will be served. Guards!"
The doors to the throne room burst open, and two guards stepped forward. "Yes, Your Majesty?" one of them asked.
"Take Liam into custody," the King ordered. "He is to be banished from the kingdom after he serves his punishment. And Ava, you will be confined to your quarters until the wedding arrangements are finalized. You will not see or speak to Liam again."
Ava felt a wave of despair wash over her as the guards bowed and departed to carry out the King's orders. She knew she had to find a way to be with Liam, but it seemed impossible.
Ava's heart felt like it was shattering into a million pieces as she watched the guards leave to fetch Liam. She knew she had to act fast, or she would lose him forever. She glanced at her parents, hoping to find some glimmer of understanding, but their faces were resolute.
The Queen spoke up, her voice firm. "Ava, you must understand that this is for the best. Your marriage to Prince Ryder will secure the future of our kingdom. You must put aside these... feelings for the servant."
Ava felt a surge of desperation. She knew she couldn't reason with her parents, not now. She would have to find another way to be with Liam. She nodded, trying to appear submissive, but her mind was racing with plans.
As the guards returned with Liam, Ava's heart skipped a beat. She saw the determination in Liam's eyes, and she knew he would not give up easily.
The King's voice was cold. "Liam, you was my servant I trusted the most not knowing you were after tearing my kingdom apart all this while. You will face severe punishment for this. As the guards led Liam away,Ava felt a pang of sadness. She knew she had to act fast to save Liam.
The king turned to Ava, you will be married to Prince Ryder in two weeks time. Make sure you’re prepared
Ava cried out, but father how can I just be married to someone I have never meet in my life, no connection no feelings.
Leave my presence to your quarters now! What do you know about feelings? When you get married you build your feelings do not ruin my kingdom for a common slave
Ava felt a surge of desperation. She knew she couldn’t reason with her parents, not now. She would have to find another way to help Liam. She left the throne room with tears streaming down her face.
