Lily closed her phone and tossed it onto the sofa. She bit her bottom lip thoughtfully. “I can't just sit here,” she told herself out loud. The Villa felt strange without Adam there; it was too quiet, too big, and too lonely. Lily walked into the kitchen and tried to push aside the negative thoughts creeping into her mind. That feeling was all too familiar to Lily. She hated it. It had once been her habit, waiting. Feeling alone and isolated. Hours spent waiting for Leon to come home.
