When Amara's family falls into financial ruin, she is forced to accept an unexpected offer from the cold and powerful billionaire, Daniel Blackwood.

Daniel needs a wife for one year to protect his inheritance and silence the rumors threatening his family's empire. Amara needs money to save the family she loves.

The solution seems simple: a contract marriage with one rule—never fall in love.

But Daniel has a secret.

He didn't choose Amara by accident.

Years ago, their families were connected by a tragedy that destroyed Daniel's childhood and changed the course of his life. Now, with Amara living under his roof, Daniel begins to realize that the woman he planned to use for his revenge may be the only person capable of healing his broken heart.

As their fake marriage begins to feel dangerously real, enemies emerge, hidden secrets are exposed, and Amara discovers that the contract she signed may have been designed to destroy her.

Can love survive when the marriage began with a lie?

And when Amara finally discovers why Daniel really chose her, will she forgive the man she has fallen in love with—or walk away forever?

The Offer
Episode 1 Amara Johnson stared at the eviction notice in her trembling hands. FINAL NOTICE. The words seemed to grow darker every time she read them. She was standing in the narrow hallway of the small apartment her family had called home for almost ten years. Around her, the walls were beginning to show cracks, the old ceiling fan turned slowly above her head, and the sound of her mother's coughing came from the bedroom. Amara folded the notice and slipped it into her handbag. She didn't want her mother to see it. Not tonight. “Amara?” She froze. Her younger brother, David, stood at the end of the hallway. “Who was that man outside?” “No one.” “He said we have to leave by Friday.” Amara looked away. David was only nineteen. He had already dropped out of school for a semester because the family couldn't afford his fees. She couldn't tell him that things were worse than he imagined. “We'll handle it,” she said. “How?” Amara forced a smile. “I said we'll handle it.” David shook his head. “You always say that.” Before she could answer, her mother's weak voice came from the bedroom. “Amara, come here.” She entered the room. Her mother was lying beneath a thin blanket, her face pale. “Did the hospital call?” Amara asked. Her mother nodded. “They said I need another operation.” Amara's heart sank. “How much?” Her mother hesitated. “Twenty thousand dollars.” For several seconds, Amara couldn't breathe. Twenty thousand. They already owed the landlord almost six months' rent. The electricity company had threatened to disconnect them. Her brother's school fees were unpaid, and her mother's medical bills had consumed everything they had. Twenty thousand dollars might as well have been two million. “I'll find it,” Amara whispered. Her mother reached for her hand. “Don't destroy your life trying to save mine.” Amara squeezed her hand. “You're my mother. There is no life worth saving if you're not in it.” That night, after everyone had gone to sleep, Amara sat alone at the kitchen table. Her laptop was open. She had applied for thirty-seven jobs in the last three months. Thirty-seven rejections. Then her phone rang. Unknown number. She almost ignored it. “Hello?” “Amara Johnson?” “Yes.” “This is Victoria Hayes, personal assistant to Mr. Daniel Blackwood.” Amara frowned. “Daniel Blackwood?” “You have been invited to an interview tomorrow morning.” “Interview for what position?” There was a brief silence. “Mrs. Blackwood.” Amara almost dropped the phone. “Excuse me?” “You heard me.” “I think you've called the wrong person.” “No. We have the correct person.” “Mrs. Blackwood isn't a job.” “It is when you're marrying Daniel Blackwood.” Amara laughed nervously. “This is some kind of joke.” “I assure you, Miss Johnson, it isn't.” “Why would a billionaire want to marry me?” Victoria's voice became colder. “Because he needs a wife.” Amara stood. “And why me?” Another silence. Then Victoria said something that made Amara's blood run cold. “Because Mr. Blackwood knows your family.” The call ended. The next morning, Amara stood outside Blackwood Tower. The building rose into the clouds like a monument to wealth. She looked down at her inexpensive black dress. She suddenly felt ridiculous. Still, she walked inside. The receptionist checked her name and immediately picked up the phone. “She's here.” A few seconds later, a security officer approached. “Miss Johnson, this way.” Amara followed him into a private elevator. The doors closed. As the elevator climbed, her heart pounded. She had never met Daniel Blackwood. But everyone in the city knew his name. Thirty-two years old. Billionaire. CEO of Blackwood International. Known for buying failing companies and turning them into empires. Known for his ruthless business decisions. And, according to the newspapers, known for never dating the same woman twice. The elevator stopped on the forty-eighth floor. The doors opened. A woman in an elegant gray suit was waiting. “Miss Johnson?” “Yes.” “I'm Victoria.” She extended her hand. Amara shook it. “Mr. Blackwood is waiting.” Victoria led her through a silent hallway. Finally, she opened a large wooden door. “Go in.” Amara stepped inside. Daniel Blackwood stood with his back to her, looking through the floor-to-ceiling windows. He wore a black suit. Tall. Broad shoulders. Perfectly controlled posture. He turned. Amara's breath caught. His face was striking, but there was something cold in his dark eyes. Something dangerous. “Sit.” No greeting. No smile. Amara sat. Daniel remained standing. “I'll get straight to the point,” he said. “I need a wife.” Amara stared at him. “For one year.” “What?” “You will marry me. We will remain married for twelve months. At the end of the twelve months, we will divorce.” Amara slowly shook her head. “This is insane.” “I'll pay you two hundred thousand dollars.” She stopped. Two hundred thousand. Daniel watched her carefully. “Fifty thousand will be transferred to your account tomorrow. The remaining one hundred and fifty thousand will be paid when the marriage ends.” Amara swallowed. “What do you want from me?” “My family believes I'm incapable of settling down. My grandfather has threatened to remove me from the position of CEO unless I marry.” “So you need a wife to protect your company.” “Yes.” “Then why don't you marry someone from your world?” His expression changed slightly. “I don't trust women from my world.” Amara stood. “Then find someone you trust.” She turned toward the door. “Your mother's operation costs twenty thousand dollars.” Amara stopped. Daniel's voice was calm. “I know about the hospital.” She slowly turned around. “How?” “I know everything about your family.” Fear replaced confusion. “Who are you?” Daniel walked toward her. “You don't remember me, do you?” Amara stared at him. There was something familiar about his eyes. Something she couldn't place. Daniel stopped a few feet away. “Fifteen years ago, your father destroyed my family.” Amara's face went pale. “My father?” “Yes.” “My father died ten years ago.” “I know.” Daniel reached into his desk drawer and removed an old photograph. He placed it on the desk. Amara picked it up. Her fingers began to tremble. It was a photograph of her father standing beside a much younger Daniel. But that wasn't what frightened her. Behind them stood another man. A man Amara had seen in her dreams for years. A man her father had always refused to talk about. Daniel watched her reaction. “You've spent your whole life believing your father was a good man.” Amara looked up. “What are you saying?” Daniel's voice dropped. “I'm saying you don't know the truth about the night my father died.” Amara stared at him. Then Daniel pushed a contract across the desk. “Marry me, Amara.” She looked at the contract. Then at him. “Why me?” For the first time, something like emotion appeared in his eyes. “Because marrying you is the first step toward getting revenge.” Amara's heart stopped. She slowly looked down at the contract. At the bottom of the first page was her name. AMARA JOHNSON. But she had never signed it. And underneath her name was a second signature. DANIEL BLACKWOOD. The date was fifteen years old. Amara's hands began to shake. “Daniel…” He said nothing. She looked at him in horror. “Why is my name on a contract you signed fifteen years ago?” Daniel's expression hardened. “Because, Amara, your father promised me something before he died.” “What?” Daniel stepped closer. “He promised that one day, his daughter would become my wife.” Amara stared at him. “That is impossible.” Daniel's eyes never left hers. “Then ask your mother.” Amara's blood ran cold. Because at that exact moment, her phone rang. It was her mother. And when Amara answered, all she heard was her mother's frightened voice. “Amara… don't marry him.” The call went dead.
