ANDREA SAT NEXT TO Mel, behind her desk, as they scanned through the trail camera photos playing across her monitor. Mel pointed at the screen, “There! See it? I think that’s Sally...or someone, anyway.” The lower leg and foot of a human figure showed on the screen, to the far-left side of the photo frame. “She must have come up just left of the tree and made enough motion to set it off,” Mel said. She checked the time stamp on the picture. “2:14, it went off.” “Where’s that put her on the time line?” “Well, let’s see. Horace would have been gone. Owen would have been at the cabin.
