Chapter 27THE DAY BEFORE
Johnny spent a fitful night in the guest room then rose, showered and dressed early. He'd tried the door of their bedroom the night before, but discovered that Bee had locked him out. It was understandable given the circumstances. She'd had her suspicions about his dalliances in the past and had always chosen to forgive him and believe the concocted stories he'd offered. Surely this time would be the same. Johnny knew he'd overstepped the mark with Mandy, but Bee loved him, he was sure of that and he expected she'd get over it and forgive him in time.
