Chapter 31Lionel Goodheart was sitting at the dining table in the bay window of his private drawing room, when there was a knock on the door. “Enter,” he called expecting one of the children from the home to come in. Instead he was greeted by Mavis who wheeled in a tea trolley laden with food. “I've brought you some lunch, Sir,” she said. “Mr. Jones is on his way. He ordered for you both.” She began to place plates of food on the crisply laundered, white, linen tablecloth.
