Chapter 30Danny Frankel gradually came to and opened his eyes. He stared around at the spartanly furnished bedroom and tried to gauge where he was. He'd woken up many times after heavy drinking sessions to find himself in strange surroundings. Often he was in the home of one of his drinking buddies or sometimes it was an unfamiliar hotel bedroom. Usually, after a few minutes, he remembered how he'd got there. On this occasion, one of the first things he noticed was the small size of the room then, that there were no windows. Oh, my God, he thought, was he in prison?
