Chapter 29Carlotta reclined in the beautician's chair, stretched out her long legs and admired her newly painted toenails. Then she held her left hand out in front of her, extended her slender fingers and smiled at her matching red fingernails. “Good job, Nancy,” she said to the nail technician. “The colour's perfect.
