Chapter Two

1044 Words
------------------------- "Morning." I yawn, reaching the kitchen. "Where were you last night?" Remus glares at me. "In the spare bed in the twins' room," I answer, sitting down next to him. "Why?" "Oh I don't know, maybe it was because you and Nymphadora were so loud last night that I couldn't sleep." I roll my eyes. "She came downstairs first, I found her lying on the Kitchen floor," Arthur says. "You should have said something, we'd have stopped." Both Remus and Nymphadora say. "I didn't want to be rude." I shrug. "Oh well." My brother shrugs. "Thanks, Molly." I grin as she shoves a plate of bacon and eggs under my nose and commanded me to eat. "Not a problem." She smiles. "Good morning." Sirius puts his hand on my shoulder, smiling at everyone else. "Morning Sirius," I say. "How is everyone on this fine morning?" He sits down next to me, taking a piece of bacon off of my plate. I slapped him on the back of the head in annoyance. "Ouch!" Sirius cried through the mouthful of bacon. "Lola, apologise." Remus gives me one of his looks."Why should I?" I smirk, shovelling a forkful of egg into my mouth. "You shouldn't hit people." "And Sirius shouldn't steal my food," I answer back, raising my eyebrows. At that, no more was said. Everyone knew better than to mess with a Lupin who's eyebrows were raised. Our eyebrows could kill, and that was a fact. Okay, maybe it's a fib but we look like we could kill someone with them. "Hey Moony, would you but mad if I did this?" Sirius asks. "Do what?" My brother asks Sirius, Sirius leans down and kisses me. I kiss him back. I don't know why I did, but I did. When we parted from each other, I noticed that Remus' grip on his fork had gotten tighter. "Why did you just kiss my sister?" He demands, his eyebrows raised. "Because I wanted to." Sirius shrugs his shoulders. "Lola, tell me that you didn't like that. Please." I look directly at Remus before standing up and connecting my lips to Sirius' to annoy my brother. I wrap my arms around Sirius' neck, his hands go to my face. After a while, we part. "Well, Remus, it seems like Lola did enjoy that." Bill sniggers. "Goddamnit Lola." Remus stands up and storms out of the room. I chase after him and follow him into his room. "Remus?" I ask quietly, sitting at the end of his bed, he was lying face down on it. "Remus, please don't ignore." I place my right hand in between his shoulder blades. "Piss off." He murmurs "Remus, please." I say. "I said piss off." Remus sits up and slaps me right across my face. I stand up and run out of the room, slamming his door behind me. "Lola?" I reach the kitchen again. "Yeah?" I ask. "Why have you got a hand mark across your face?" Minerva asks. "No reason." I lie. "Lola, don't lie." Molly studies my expression. "I'm not lying." I retort. "He hit you, didn't he?" Sirius grabs me by my shoulders. "Maybe." I sigh, Sirius pulls me into a tight hug. "What a monster." He grumbles. I bury my head in his neck, a tear rolls down my cheek. "I think it would be best if you leave her alone." I turn to see Ginny pushing my brother out of the room. I break down into tears, Sirus sits down and pulls me onto his knee. "Don't worry, I won't let him hurt you again." He rubs circles on my back. "Thank you," I mutter, Sirius kisses my forehead. *TIME SKIP* "SIRIUS, NO!" I scream, Harry and I were held back by my brother and Arthur. "We have to go," Tonks says. "But Sirius," Harry says. "We have to go before any of us get hurt." My brother grabs me by my wrist and drags me out of the building. "Hold on." Alastor takes Harry and does side by side apparation with him. My brother takes Hermione, Tonks takes Luna, and Kingsley took Ron. That left me with Neville who's lip had been bust and his nose had bled and Ginny Weasley. "We'll get you sorted when we get to Grimmauld Place Neville, but for now, I need you two to hold on to me now so we can get there," I instruct. We reached Grimmauld Place, Molly and Arthur opened the door for us. Everyone else had already made it back to the house. "You're okay." Remus snatched me out of the hallway and pulled me into a hug. "Of course I'm okay. When am I not okay?" I smile weakly. "Good point." I gaze up at him. "I just didn't want to lose you again. Once was enough." Remus presses his lips to my forehead. We stand in silence for a few moments before Tonks and Kingsley came into the room."Hey, what's the matter?" Tonks questioned, looking at Remus. "Lola's upset over Sirius." My brother said, glancing across at her. "Oh." "I'll leave you two be. If you need me, I'll be at the muggle library." I pull away from my brother's arms and make my way out of the house and towards the muggle library down the road. I reach it and enter the building, walking over to the Muggle Fiction section and pull off Of Mice and Men from the shelf. I sit and read for a while before I felt a tap on my shoulder, it was Molly. "Hey, Molly." I smile, looking up at the woman beside me. "Hey Lola, we're having dinner soon. I was wondering if you could help me make it?" "Yep, sure." I place the book back on the shelf and follow Molly out of the library. "Lola." Remus says the moment we stepped in the door. "Yeah?" I ask. "Nevermind. Doesn't matter." I roll my eyes at my older sibling and walk into the kitchen. "So, what are we making?" I ask Molly, who was getting some pots out. "Jacket potatoes." "Geez, these are good." Tonks licks the last bit of potato off of her fork, I fake a smile at her before starting to wash up.
