Chapter 6 When I wake up, the house is as quiet as the grave and Helene is sleeping so soundly on the sofa that I go over to check she’s still breathing. It’s almost ten o’clock and it’s a typical English rainy day. Although I’m not thrilled by the idea of going out in this annoying drizzle, my hunger is definitely stronger.
