Chapter One: The Imminent Attack
Everything was hazy and misty... The world seemed to grow small and the poor, young boy kept on shaking before him while a bloody foam form in his mouth. He was helpless on the freezing floor he was lying on and at that time, he was in an endless fit. Alex, the boy, desperately tried to call for help after the fits stopped but a bolt of powerful hot lightning struck him before he could even crawl out of his house to save himself from those who attacked him in his house. The magicians before him kept on screaming strange words he doesn't understand, too. He tried to escape but he collapsed down again in front of the open door and was dragged back in his huge house wherein he was kept tortured through their painful spells. Their deep words create blue light, and upon touching his naked chest, his hands began shaking. Slowly, even his mind was violated by the magicians in front of him. He felt a terrible cold storm surge inside his mind and he tried his best to keep those who wanted to destroy it to go away from his mind. No matter how much he screamed to give him mercy, they don't stop but he knew that they'd only stop when he had already taken his last breath. Alex tried his hardest to protect himself by creating fortifications on his mind by instinct but as he struggled more, the warlocks that circled him kept on sapping the magic inside him but before they successfully removed his magic, a blue light burst out around Alex and it was just at that time he realized that the magic flowing in him seemed to be endless. The warlocks had a difficult time removing it out of him but as his magic was too much, the torture was just as the same. Soon, a blue, cloudy mist surrounded his body and he realized that it was his magic that had kept on flowing out of his hands but as it kept on getting out, his strength diminished, too. "Please, stop!" he cried as he began to instinctively create a misty cocoon around himself. "I'm begging you!" The torture slowly stopped when from his hazy vision, a man holding a short sword bravely attacked the magicians who were shattering his body. Even if he knew that he was already safe, what the warlocks had done already created a massive injury in his magical nerves. His body felt cold and he felt like glass when the magicians began to focus their attack on the man who was desperate to stop them from killing him. The man in front didn't care if he received a painful magical spell as he raged on to save Alex, and with the sword on his side, he crushed their magicians' heads one at a time. Blood rained down before him and as much as he wanted to stay awake, his world began to be cloudy. Tears came out from the man's warm eyes before him. It's obvious that the man was just so worried and afraid of what might happen to him. Alex teared up as well and since there was just so much pain around his body as if he's a fragile glass, blood curled up again on his mouth and he vomited painfully. He began to shiver and as an endless time went on, he closed his eyes to welcome the darkness that was only his escape to forget pain. "Son, I'm sorry! I was too late!" Lord Normandy said as more tears dropped out of his eyes. "Please don't die! I don't want you to leave me, yet! Stay with me, my son!" Alex opened his eyes slightly as his whole mind returned back to him but even if he tried to stay awake, the pain caused by the spells made him weak. Once again, he collapsed in his father's arms because of how weak he had become. He was very cold to the touch and the blue mist that had been flowing out of his right hand surrounded his whole body. The mist kept him alive for a while but his heart was just thumping too fast. Lord Normady hugged his son tight on his arms as he was just so afraid that his son would die. "Stay with me, son!!! Son!!! Please wake up!!!" ... Alex was just too silent at that time and soon, his father rushed out of his house. He immediately placed him in his car to bring him to the nearest hospital for those who were attacked by strange magicians in their town. "Dad...," he murmured. "Dad... I don't feel so good..." Lord Normandy felt relieved at the time he heard his son's voice but he was still very much worried since his son's face was so pale. "You need to rest, son. You're safe now and I will be bringing you to a good place where you will be treated." "They attacked me...! Why would they attack me and torture me at home?" Alex sobbed. "Why would they torture me for having a strange birthmark at my back?" Lord Normandy's tears began to crawl out of his eyes but he only concentrated on driving his car but he still tried to answer his son's question. "I don't exactly know how to answer you, my dear son. It's difficult to tell you since I am in the dark, too." Alex nodded in understanding but he just can't keep thinking that he may lose himself again all because of the torturous aches and pain on his chest. It was as if there were a lot of bricks on his chest while there were deep stabbing needles stuck on his back "Thank you, dad," he cried out to him. "If I die... Dad... If this is my time... I want you to know that I love you so much." "No!!! Son, I will make sure that you will recover and you will get your health back," Lord Normandy screamed. "You won't die, yet! I don't want you to die!"
