Daniel woke up at 4 in the morning. He swept the yard and burned the trash. Jo who woke up immediately took a shower. Meanwhile Lee is nowhere to be found. Daniel thought maybe Lee went to the village. So Daniel immediately went to the river and caught some fish. He also baked some sweet potatoes for breakfast. While the fish he will eat lunch later with vegetables and rice.
"Jo, let's eat!" shouted Daniel. He took a baked sweet potato that was ripe and split it.
Jo came happy. He sat down and immediately accepted the sweet potato Daniel had given him.
"Where's Grandpa?" asked Jo.
"Maybe to the village. When I woke up, Grandpa was gone," replied Daniel, blowing sweet potatoes that were still hot.
"Help! help!" The scream immediately caught Daniel and Jo's attention. The two of them immediately stood up.
A villager arrived in front of the two out of breath.
"What's wrong Uncle!??" asked Daniel. The person panicked.
"You're Lee's grandson?" the person asked.
Daniel nodded.
"Hurry up and help him. Lee had an accident. The other person helped and was about to take him to the hospital," said the person.
Daniel immediately threw the sweet potato he was eating. He and Jo immediately followed the villagers. They headed for the village border. Where the construction of the bridge is being carried out. Residents take turns working voluntarily so that the bridge is completed quickly. A makeshift bridge using broken bamboo tree trunks. And Lee fell from there. He was being evacuated by the development team from the other side of the village. Daniel and Jo could only watch the whole process without being able to help one bit.
"Grandpa," Jo cried. Everyone was nervous to see Lee's condition.
"Uncle, can you help me look after Jo?" asked Daniel.
"Of course. Your grandfather often treats my wife for free. We will take good care of her," said the Uncle. Daniel didn't know his name. But the uncle's house is the closest house to Lee's house.
"Jo, I'm going to catch up with Lee. I have to take care of him until he gets better. As soon as Lee gets better I'll be back. I was with this uncle first. You dare for grandpa's sake!?!"
Joe nodded.
"Good. I have to cross immediately," said Daniel.
"But how? The emergency bridge has collapsed," said Uncle.
Daniel looks at the rest of the bridge. Only a few bamboo remains. Logically, people would not dare to cross the bamboo sticks. But Daniel had no other choice. He immediately set foot there. Bamboo sticks swaying.
People screamed at Daniel's reckless action. But Daniel tried to stay calm and stay focused. Lee had saved himself. Now was Daniel's time to make sure Lee was okay. The evacuation did not go smoothly. The rope got stuck and someone had to come down other than the officer.
"Throw the rope. I'll jump where it's stuck!" shouted Daniel.
The team who heard immediately threw the rope. Daniel accepted and immediately swung. He hit the wall of the ravine and because it was slippery his body slid down. Luckily there were tree roots that made him find his footing. Daniel then climbed slowly until he got to where the rope was stuck. Then he managed to untie the rope. Until finally the evacuation process can be continued.
Daniel immediately climbed up. His actions really made the atmosphere tense. When Lee arrived and Daniel did too, everyone cried out in relief. Jo, who had been crying for so long because he was afraid of losing the two people he deeply regretted, finally smiled in relief.
"Sis! Take care of Grandpa!" shouted Jo.
Daniel showed his thumb. He got up and helped the team lift Lee onto a stretcher. Then they got into the ambulance.
"Lee, can you hear me?" asked Daniel.
No answer. Officers immediately performed first aid by holding back the bleeding and applying oxygen.
"He's unconscious at the moment." The officer informed Daniel of Lee's condition.
"What relationship do you have with this old man?" asked the officer.
"I'm his grandson," Daniel replied.
The officer nodded. They arrived at the hospital thirty minutes later. Lee was immediately taken to the emergency room. Meanwhile Daniel waited outside nervously.
"Are you the patient's family?" asked a woman.
Daniel nodded.
"Can you go to the administration room?"
Daniel nodded. He immediately followed the nurse and filled in the data that Daniel knew.
"This is still incomplete. Do you have an identity card? asked the admin officer.
Daniel just realized that he didn't have any cards. But Daniel had to lie.
"I have. But when I came here I didn't bring it. It's at home. It's impossible to pick it up either. Our village has a broken bridge."
The officer thought for a moment.
"Did you raise Grandpa Lee," a female doctor asked.
"Yes. Right," Daniel replied.
"Especially Lee. Let me pay all the costs," said the Doctor.
The female doctor nodded.
"Lee once saved my life. This time it's my turn to save him. Come on," said the doctor.
Daniel immediately followed.
"My name is Rachel. I was very surprised when I saw Lee in the operating room. Luckily no limb was seriously damaged except for his leg. Lee is temporarily unable to walk."
Rachel came into the room. It turned out that Lee was already in the room. He was still unconscious.
"Is Lee going to be all right?" asked Daniel.
"Of course. You don't have to worry. We just have to wait for him to wake up. But I just found out that Lee has a grandson who is the same age as me," Rachel said.
"It's a long story," Daniel replied.
Suddenly someone came in.
"I've been waiting for you for a very long time Ra..." Marsha was surprised to see a young man who was very similar to Daniel. The difference is that the young man was dressed in shabby clothes.
"I have a sudden patient. You know what it's like to be a doctor," Rachel said, but Marsha ignored her.
"What happened to you?" asked Rachel who was surprised to see Marsha fixated on Daniel.
Daniel who was seen sharply could only smile and look down. He sat down next to Lee and focused on staring at him.
"That boy..." Marsha couldn't believe whether Daniel wasn't dead yet.
"That's Daniel, the grandson of Lee's grandfather. So his grandfather had an accident today and I had to save him. Luckily I was able to save Lee."
Marsha walked over to get a better look. But seen after all it was Daniel. Exactly Daniel.
"You ?" Marsha pointed at Daniel.
Daniel immediately stood up.
"I'm Daniel from Green Forest village. This is my grandfather Lee." Daniel said politely.
Marsha immediately grabbed Daniel's chin and face. The faces are too similar, their names are also the same.
"You are exactly the person I love," said Marsha.
"Is that true?" Daniel was surprised.
"What do you mean Daniel Director of the company?" Rachel asked.
Marsha nodded.
"No kidding. He's dead," Rachel said.
"True. But they are very similar." Marsha shows Daniel's photo. It turned out that Rachel also agreed.
