Not safe. But… watched. Like something had already crawled inside it. Michelle stood in her room, hands trembling slightly as she stared at the closed door. Every sound outside felt too loud. Every silence felt worse. Then— A knock. Slow. Controlled. Her heart jumped. ā€œā€¦Yes?ā€ she whispered. The door opened. Lian stepped in. But this time— He wasn’t alone. Two guards stood behind him. Michelle stiffened instantly. ā€œWhat’s going on?ā€ Lian didn’t answer right away. His eyes were colder now. He shut the door behind him. Click. Locked. That sound alone made her chest tighten. ā€œYou made a mistake coming here,ā€ he said quietly. Michelle shook her head. ā€œI had nowhere elseā€”ā€ ā€œYou don’t understand.ā€ His voice cut through hers. Sharp. Final. Then— He stepped closer. Lowered his voice. ā€œFuan knows.ā€ Silence. Michelle froze completely. ā€œā€¦Knows what?ā€ Lian’s jaw tightened. ā€œThat you’re not where you’re supposed to be.ā€ Her breath hitched. ā€œThat you escaped the wedding.ā€ The room tilted slightly. ā€œNoā€¦ā€ she whispered. ā€œHe can’t—he shouldn’t be able to find me hereā€”ā€ A loud beep echoed from Lian’s phone. He glanced at it. Then went still. For the first time— His expression changed. ā€œā€¦Too late.ā€ --- [Downstairs – Alexander’s Office] Alexander sat in silence. The kind of silence that felt like pressure building under skin. Daniel stood across the table. ā€œSomething is wrong,ā€ Daniel said lowly. Alexander didn’t respond. Daniel continued. ā€œLian brought her in too easily.ā€ That made Alexander’s eyes lift slightly. Still calm. But darker now. ā€œExplain.ā€ Daniel hesitated. Then— ā€œThe girlā€¦ā€ A pause. ā€œShe’s not just running from someone.ā€ Silence dropped. Heavy. Dangerous. Daniel leaned forward. ā€œShe was already marked before she got here.ā€ --- [Upstairs – Michelle’s Room] A loud bang shook the door. Not a knock. A hit. Hard. Michelle stepped back immediately. ā€œLian?ā€ she called, panic rising. No answer. Another hit. Stronger this time. The door handle rattled violently. Then— A voice. Not Lian’s. Low. Cold. Deadly. ā€œOpen the door.ā€ Michelle froze. Her lips parted. No sound came out. Because she recognized that voice. Even though she had never heard it directly— Her body remembered it. Fear remembered it. Fuan. --- [Mansion Hallway] Lian stood frozen. His phone still in his hand. The signal had been traced. Fast. Too fast. One of the guards spoke. ā€œSir… we need orders.ā€ Lian’s jaw tightened. For the first time— He looked unsure. Then he whispered: ā€œā€¦Move her.ā€ But it was already too late. Footsteps echoed downstairs. Heavy. Multiple. The main gate alarm BLARED. Red lights flashed through the mansion. Security breach. Critical level. And then— BOOM. The front doors were forced open. Guards rushed in— But stopped instantly. Because the man walking in wasn’t alone. He didn’t need to rush. He didn’t need to shout. He just walked. Calm. Controlled. Fuan had arrived. --- [Alexander’s Floor] Daniel appeared instantly. ā€œBoss—he’s inside the compound.ā€ Alexander finally stood. Slow. Unbothered. But his eyes… Were no longer calm. ā€œLock everything,ā€ he said. Daniel nodded quickly. But Alexander added one more line— Cold. Quiet. Final. ā€œAnd bring Lian to me.ā€ --- [Upstairs – Michelle’s Room] The door exploded open. Michelle screamed softly and stepped back— But stopped. Because it wasn’t guards. It wasn’t Lian. It was Fuan. Standing there. Looking directly at her. Silence swallowed the room. Then he smiled. Slowly. Dangerously. ā€œThere you are.ā€ Michelle’s legs almost gave way. ā€œā€¦You’re not supposed to be hereā€¦ā€ Fuan tilted his head slightly. ā€œYou escaped my wedding.ā€ A step forward. ā€œAnd ran into my enemy’s house.ā€ Michelle’s breath shook. Behind her— Lian stepped in quickly, blocking her. ā€œStop.ā€ Fuan’s eyes shifted to him. For the first time— Something darker appeared in his expression. ā€œOh.ā€ A pause. ā€œSo the traitor is here too.ā€ Silence dropped. Heavy. Suffocating. Lian’s voice lowered. ā€œThis ends here.ā€ Fuan laughed softly. ā€œNo.ā€ Another step forward. ā€œThis only ends when I take what belongs to me.ā€ His eyes locked back on Michelle. ā€œAnd I always collect what’s mine.ā€ --- [Downstairs – Alexander] The elevator doors opened slowly. Alexander stepped out. And stopped. Because the entire mansion felt it now. A war had entered his home. Daniel appeared beside him. ā€œHe’s upstairs.ā€ Alexander didn’t move immediately. His gaze darkened. Then he said one sentence— Cold. Controlled. Deadly. ā€œIf he came for herā€¦ā€ A pause. ā€œā€¦then he should have brought more men.ā€ And he started walking. --- T.B.C… šŸ’¬ 150+ COMMENTS ā¤ļø 300+ LIKES šŸ” SHARE
