I heard screams and I jolted out my sleep. Aiish, those girls. Then it clicked, oh, it must be happening. Aiden must be looking for his mate now. He must have seen her in his dreams.
A sorrowful taste played on my lips and I gulped it down painfully. It's over. This would totally change things between us. His mate, which could be enough definitely won't want a female bestie for her mate. I needed to come to that realization slowly and come to accept it.
