I descended the stairs, and he must have noticed. Of course, we were mated now, we can both sense each other, and also.. feel each other. I pressed my lips together to stop another smile from slipping up.
He raised his head up, and at first I couldn't see the expression that flashed across his face but it was quickly replaced with a smile. He smiled.. Aiden freaking smiled at me! It's been long since he did that, not since we.. broke up.
About that.. would that matter now? Does he still care about that? Probably not, right? We were mates now, he had no choice.
'Hmm, so he was the useless omega I was cursing out.' I thought as I stared at the burnt pancakes but the fact that he cared enough to make this for me. I couldn't contain the joy inside me.
