"Thank goodness you're safe," Monique said. She still endured the pain in her back and had bruises on her face. "I told your Mom that you stayed with us. I don't know what to tell them," I said, glancing at Raven. They were in the same room, placed in the ward. Of course, they also had bruises, and it seemed like they might have some broken bones. But I didn't care. "How did you manage to save us?" Monique asked. "I waited for them to leave. They probably thought you'd stop breathing too," I lied. I looked at my brother who was eating an apple while watching TV. "My Mom will be angry if she sees me like this," she sighed. "You brought us all here alone?" I looked at Raven. "Yeah," I replied coldly. I didn't expect them to thank me. I didn't need it anyway. "You're being reckless, Paeng," I told my brother as he was about to take the third apple. He pouted at me. We bought those apples for Monique. I got some for them too. Whether they accepted it or not, I didn't care. "It's okay, let him eat," Monique smiled at me. "How's your back?" I asked her. She just shrugged at me. "We should leave first then, you rest, I'll take care of the restaurant," I said. She held my hand, looking teary-eyed. "Huhuhu! Monique! You're truly heaven-sent! I'm so sorry for bothering you so much," she sobbed. I could only wince. "I know, so next time, don't be so hasty," I said, annoyed with her. She sniffled while nodding. "Hello?" I looked at my brother when he answered my phone. "Why are you calling Xander? Haven't you gone home yet?" My brother retorted with his British accent. "You're not welcome in our flat anymore! Go back to Europe!" I placed my hand on my forehead. "Who is Xander? Your boyfriend?" Monique asked me, almost making me burst out laughing at her question. "You cannot live with us!!" Raphael burst out. I took back my phone from my brother. He was probably teasing Paeng again. He always does that to Paeng. "Why not?! I miss your sister!" Xander said. "Xander..." I warned in a stern tone. I heard him panic on the other side. "We have to go now, they're calling us for the flight. Goodbye," he said and hung up. "Is he gone? Did they go home?" my brother asked me, folding his arms. "Yeah, let's go. You're being a nuisance," I said to him and put my phone back in my pocket. He pouted at me, bid farewell to Monique, then glared at the boys. I wiped my palm across his face. "Stop glaring," I whispered to him. Madam SC is back. The sophisticated Senior Citizen. I clenched my jaw. I was standing beside her for about 5 minutes, and she still hadn't placed her order. "I'll come back when you're ready to order," I smiled sarcastically at her. "Oh no! I have decided!" she said. I glanced at her driver, who just smiled at me. "Strawberry cake, please, and an Americano Grande," she smirked. I clenched my jaw, barely holding back the urge to glare at her. I placed her order on the counter. "I thought she wouldn't come back," Ate Anna whispered to me. "I hope she really didn't," I sighed. "You can do it! Fighting!" Ate Iza grinned at me, causing me to wince. She handed me the strawberry and the Americano. "Here's your order, Ma'am," I said. "Scoop out the strawberry," she said rudely. I let out a sigh and placed the strawberry on a tray. "Where are you going? Scoop it out here in front of me," she demanded. I furrowed my brows. That's the same thing Waldrin said before. Is she Waldrin's grandmother? Whoah! What a small world. They seem to have the same attitude. I scooped out the strawberry and placed it on the side of the plate before smoothing out the icing on top. "Is that all, Ma'am?" I asked, slightly annoyed. She raised an eyebrow at me. I almost rolled my eyes. I continued my work, and she just kept staring at me. My forehead creased every time I looked at her because I always caught her staring at me. She had been sitting there for almost two hours now. Her driver even got his own table. "What does she want?" I mumbled to myself. "Excuse me!" she called out to me. Annoyed, I went to her, and if she weren't an elderly woman, I might have given her a piece of my mind. "Yes, Madam?" I asked her. "I saw you earlier. You're studying at our school," she said. My eyebrows furrowed. "I am Wilhelmina Zekovia, the owner of ZEKOVIA UNIVERSITY." She didn't extend her hand or introduce herself. She was just bragging, as if I cared. "So?" I asked her. She smirked and chuckled. "I'm going to call you Madam SC. I treat people equally. And I really don't care who you are,." The smile vanished from her lips, as if she might have a heart attack any moment. "Come on, Roberto! We're leaving!" she said. Now it was my turn to smirk. "Please don't come back," I said. Her driver smiled at me, but Madam SC looked like she wanted to kill me. I silently laughed. She probably thought I'd be scared of her. My grandpa is scarier than her, by a long shot. I went to my locker to check my uniform's patch. Actually, we only wear uniforms on Mondays. It says Zekovia University on it. Damn, I just realized now that Waldrin and his family own this university. I didn't really care where I'd enroll, as long as it was near our place. I shrugged and fixed my uniform in the locker. As if it could kill me.
