"At last! We're open again!" Monique joyfully exclaimed, her eyes welling up with tears. We quickly entered the shop and prepared for the customers. Customers were asking us about the recent hostage situation, and it hurt my jaw to force a smile at them. The whole shop fell silent as a wealthy-looking elderly woman entered. She was carrying a limited edition original Prada bag and was dressed head to toe in expensive brands. "There she goes again..." I overheard one of the crew members say, as if silently arguing about who should serve her. I took the menu from the counter and handed it to her as she sat down, her driver standing beside her. "I'll have a slice of your 4 best-sellers and an Americano grande," she said without even looking at the menu. "Noted, ma'am." I said casually and handed the order to the counter, where it was quickly prepared. She checked each item of her order one by one. From the containers to the ribbons, even the coffee cup. "Remove the strawberry," she said. "And also, change my cup, I prefer a styrofoam cup." She demanded. I glanced at the counter, and the staff signaled that we didn't use styrofoam cups. "We don't use styrofoam cups," I informed her. She raised an eyebrow at me. "But I want a styrofoam cup," she gritted her teeth. "We are not allowed to use styrofoam cups," I explained. She clenched her jaw. "I don't care! Transfer this into a styrofoam cup!" "I don't see why we should do that, ma'am. Why should we put the shop in jeopardy? Besides, why are you to be given special treatment? We treat all our customers equally," I said bluntly. She gasped as if she had heard the most outrageous thing ever. "Roberto, we're leaving! The crew here is so rude!" She snorted. "You should pay before you leave," I told her. She glared at me. "Why should I pay? I am not satisfied with your service!" "Really? You ordered, and we provided what you ordered. It's indicated in the menu that we don't use styrofoam cups. Is it my fault if you didn't read it?" I mocked. "How dare you! You rude child!" "Now, are you going to pay, or should I call the police? You keep ordering without having money to pay for it." I smirked. I felt like she was about to explode with anger, but I didn't care. "Roberto, pay her!" She snorted, and her driver handed me the credit card. "Can I have your senior citizen card, please?" She gasped. The whole shop fell silent, watching us. Even the driver maintained a poker face. She gasped again. "Do I look like I need a discount? I can even buy this shop if I want to!" "Well, we're just following the law. If you don't want to use it, it's fine. It's not me who's losing out," I said coldly, handing them the receipt. She stormed out of the shop rudely, and the driver took her orders and smiled at me before they left. I sighed, and suddenly, everyone started applauding. "Whoah! You're tough, Maureen!" Anna said, and I was just puzzled. "She's the customer we always try to avoid because she's too picky, but she keeps coming back," Ate Iza said, and I just shrugged. I received a message that I had a mission. I immediately went to the library to access the mafia's website. I logged into my account and gathered all the information I needed for my next mission. I was very careful not to leave any trace of confidential matters. I deleted everything to avoid being tracked by my brother. Mission 1004: Exterminate the Yamashita Yakuza in Hanoi, Vietnam. Then, I went to our classroom. Everyone fell silent when I entered the classroom. As I thought, they were planning something again. It was always that Raven who was the instigator. I didn't know what he had against me. I didn't do anything to harm him. I noticed Monique struggling to clean my desk. I grabbed her hand to stop her. She gasped and looked at me with teary eyes. Boo! Scholar! Nerd! Poor! Die b***h! Those were the words written with a permanent marker. I looked at Raven, who was barely holding back his laughter. Then to Christian, who avoided eye contact. After I helped him with his sister. Tsk. "It's okay, Monique," I said. I brushed her face with the sleeves of my jacket. I knew she was my friend, and I trusted her enough that she wouldn't betray me. I knew. I placed my bag on the desk and sat down. braaaagggg My chair broke, and the room filled with laughter. I heard Raven and Christian's loud laughter. I felt pain in my waist and thigh. "Oh my gosh! That's too much!" Monique shouted at Raven and Christian. Waldrin is not here; most of the time, he's absent. I felt the stinging pain in my thigh, and I was right. The chair's leg slightly pierced my skin. And yeah, I'm bleeding. I could feel the pain since I didn't take narcotics. "Maureen, you're bleeding," Monique gasped. The whole classroom fell silent. I removed the piece of wood that got stuck in my thigh. I stood up, holding the wood, and looked at Raven and Christian coldly. Their eyes widened as if they realized they had gone too far. I pulled my chair out of the room. The whole room was quiet when I returned. I didn't look at anyone, and Monique was the only one talking to me, but I was too tired to answer her. I took my bag and left the classroom. I went straight to the restroom, and everyone who saw me gasped. I took spare clothes from my bag and tied them around my thigh before heading to the infirmary.
