"Can you accompany me after we drop off Paeng?" Monique asked me while we were tidying up here in the coffee shop.
"Where? It's getting late," I said. It was evident from her face that she was restless and anxious.
"Do you know about gang fights?" she asked. I furrowed my brows and paused from cleaning to face her.
"Christian is in a gang fight right now, and I'm so scared of what might happen to him." My eyes widened. So, the three of them are involved in a gang.
"What gang are they in?" I asked.
"They are part of the Silent Reapers, and they're fighting against the Phantoms," she explained.
"How do you know about this?"
"Our families are affiliated with an Underground Organization," she said. I bit my lower lip. There are many underground organizations around the world, and some of them are rivals. Ours is the Marfor'sMafia Organization, the most powerful one.
"What are you supposed to do then?"
"I have to stop them before something bad happens! The Phantoms, Phyton, and Sakura gang have joined forces, and there'll be hundreds of them, and Christian doesn't know!"
I held her shoulders. "Calm down!" She was almost hysterical. "What would you do if you went there?"
"I'll try to stop them before it's too late! They could get killed there! They've already blocked my number, and I don't know how to contact them anymore!"
"Calm down first, and I'll go with you. Just relax," I said. She started crying, and I sighed. She's too fragile. As agreed, we dropped Paeng off at the apartment.
"Are you going to kill?" Paeng asked. Monique stayed in the car, so I could talk to Paeng.
"You know I don't kill amateurs," I said. Amateurs are what we call gangsters, groups who think killing is just a game. Amateurs are those who fight as a group without a valid reason, just for pride and entertainment.
I am licensed to kill. I kill bad people or anyone who poses a threat to the Marfori Organization. I pledged to that, to be a loyal Mafian for life.
"Do you want me to track them down?" he asked.
Paeng is a Cyber Mafian, the best when it comes to computer work. He's untouchable.
I clenched my jaw. "You should stop doing that," I told him. He's a multibillionaire hacker. How many banks has he robbed already?
I don't want him to grow up doing that. He shouldn't be stained.
He just sighed and took his bag from me, then went inside the apartment. I went back to the car, and we dropped Queenie off too.
"So, where are we going?" I asked her.
"I know where the Phantoms' lair is," she said. "We need to get there before Christian does."
I don't know how she can drive fast but carefully, even though she's trembling. It was evident in her voice and the beads of sweat on her forehead, even in the coldness inside the car.
"What if we're too late?" I asked.
"D-Don't say that," she stammered. I just shrugged. We spotted a large warehouse. Monique parked the car a little far from it, far enough not to arouse suspicion, but close enough to see who was going in.
"No way!" she gasped. I looked at her, and her eyes widened as she tightly held the steering wheel. "That's Christian's car!"
"What do you think you're doing?!" I asked her. She unbuckled her seatbelt, but I stopped her.
"I have to help them! I have to stop them!"
"What can you do?"
"I can't just sit here and do nothing!!!" She quickly unbuckled her seatbelt and got out of the car. I had no other choice but to follow her!
Monique tried to open the door, but it was locked. She kept banging on it.
"Open this door!! Christian!!" She was crying while shouting, and I felt sorry for her. Why did she even like that Christian?
"Come on, let's look around," I told her. She nodded at me. We ran around the warehouse and saw a door on the side but guarded it.
"Who are you?!" he shouted. I immediately kicked him in the face, and he lost consciousness. The others rushed to attack me, but I quickly put them to sleep with one swift movement.
I looked at Monique, and her jaw dropped. "I knew you could fight," I sarcastically said. I held her hand tightly, and we quietly entered the warehouse.
We saw the three of them, badly injured, but they managed to take down half of their enemies. They were surrounded by around 50 to 70 people.
"Christian..." Monique whispered to me, gripping my jacket tightly. We were hiding in the dark corner of the warehouse.
"You always play dirty," Raven hissed at the Phantom's leader. My eyes widened when I recognized them. These are the gangsters under the Marfori. Does that mean Monique's family is involved in the organization we're part of?
"Monique, may I know what organization you're in?" I asked her.
"Venom..." She whispered. I silently cursed. Of all the organizations, it had to be Venom.
Phantom's Leader - Blake Krio Rowell, who happens to be Marshan's, my twin sister's, boyfriend.
Phyton's Leader - Xander Cross Lee
Sakura Gang - Frianne Grace Jones
I don't usually meddle with the gangsters under the Marfori's because I prefer working alone. I like being alone. Since when did they form a gang? D*mn it! I'm so stupid for being clueless.
They started fighting again, and they were still putting up a fight, but they were receiving too many blows.
"Maureen! They'll die!" Monique shook me.
"What do you want me to do? Do you think we can handle them?" I asked her. She bit her lower lip. I rolled my eyes at her and watched them fight.
Will they actually kill them?
I gasped when Monique suddenly ran towards them. She took a punch meant for Christian.
"Monique!!" Christian gasped. She fell on the floor. I didn't know what to do now. They shouldn't find out that I'm a Marfori.
