I let out a cry of pain as my body ached. I had just finished my last stock of narcotics. Since I became dependent on them, I always get sick when my body can no longer absorb the drugs. Getting rid of addiction is so painful. I clutched my pillow and groaned in agony. "D*mn it!" I hissed, groaned, and yelped in pain. I couldn't count how many hours I rolled around in bed, enduring the excruciating pain. I can't depend on drugs forever. I have already given up m*******a since it stopped my epilepsy attacks, but narcotics is a different story. "Ate..." I heard Paeng's voice. My body was drenched in sweat, and I probably looked awful. "I'm okay. S-sleep now. Arrrgggghhh!!!" I groaned. "I'll just buy some, Ate. I don't like seeing you suffer like that," he said, his voice trembling with concern. I gasped and groaned again. It was so painful. "I don't want to use that, Paeng," I hissed. He closed the door. I couldn't sleep, struggling with the pain, and thankfully, it subsided after four hours. But I couldn't sleep after that. "Are you okay?" Monique asked me. She walked alongside me in the hallway and wrapped her arm around mine. "Yeah," I sighed. "You look pale. Are you feeling sick?" she asked, touching my forehead. I shook my head and pocketed my hands. "Tsk. You're turning back into a nerd," Raven greeted as I entered the classroom. He called me a nerd because I always wore eyeglasses. I can't help it; my eyes are blurry, and I hate wearing contacts. I have a new seat now, and my broken seat was gone from outside the classroom. "Oops! Excuse me," I nearly stumbled when Christian bumped into me. I thought he was nice. Tsk, such a fake. "Raven! Christian! Can't you do something decent?! She's not doing anything to both of you!" Monique snorted. We exchanged glances with Christian and Raven before Monique pulled me to my seat. Our teacher arrived, and Raven kept kicking the chair under me. Our teachers noticed, but they didn't reprimand him. It annoyed me whenever I tried to write. RAVEN'S POV I don't really like her. I don't like ugly and unattractive girls; they repulse me. "Waldrin, suggest what we should do next," Christian said to Waldrin. I can say he's the most childish and kindest among the three of us. Well, he's already kind as he is. "Why don't you just kill her?" Waldrin suggested. I grinned. "That would be a nice idea, but let's play with her first." "What about Monique? She's being a hindrance again." Christian said. If it weren't for our families being friends, we wouldn't let her interfere with what we do. She's just a pain in the ass. "I almost forgot, we had a fight with the Phantoms tomorrow night, in their lair. They have the nerves to challenge us," I smirked. Christian shook his head. "I guess they have a death wish." What's the challenge of the Phantoms to us? Just because they're part of the Marfori family doesn't mean we'll back down. We know for a fact that their leader is strong, but his subordinates are nothing compared to us. "If the Phantoms are the only ones we're up against, the three of us would be enough," Waldrin said. We heard the siren signaling lunchtime. We left the headquarters and went to the cafeteria, but unfortunately, I saw the nerd with Monique at a table. I walked towards them and sat at their table. Monique and the nerd stopped eating. Waldrin and Christian also sat beside me. "What is it again?!" Monique snapped at us. I grinned and glanced at the nerd. Well, she's somewhat pretty. But just somewhat. "Why is your temper so hot, Monique? We're just joining your table," I chuckled. Nerd looked at me, and as usual, her icy gaze showed she wasn't afraid of us. I just grinned. Let's see... "What's your name again?" I asked the nerd. She briefly glanced at me and continued eating. "Maureen, her name is Maureen. So please do us a favor, there are still plenty of empty tables, go sit there," Monique hissed. I nodded in agreement. "Christian, you go ahead and order; I'll interview Ms. Nerd here." I smirked. I grabbed her jaw and turned her face towards me. She had beautiful silver eyes, no doubt about that. Christian and Waldrin left to buy our lunch. "What do you want, Raven?!" Monique tried to push me, but I just glared at her, silencing her. "Do you know that I can't stand your face?" I said to the nerd. She grabbed my wrist and held it firmly. I clenched my jaw when I felt her strength. Dmn! She's fcking strong! She tightened her grip on my arm as if she could still go harder and break my bones. "Do you know that I'm annoyed just by seeing you?" she smirked and let go of my wrist. I almost fell when she forcefully pushed my arm. "Bitch..." I hissed. The corner of her lips twitched as she mockingly looked at me. "Weak," she smirked. She took her belongings and left the cafeteria. I kicked the chair beside me, causing the whole cafeteria to fall silent. Dmn! I'll make that btch pay!
