"The entire committee members have a meeting here at the Auditorium.
"I feel like a loser for being grouped with you." Suddenly, a girl pushed me on the shoulder. I heard Monique gasp. There they go again, those three girls who act like we committed some grave offense against them.
"Yeah, why are you even here?! You're an eyesore!" one of them said.
"What are you saying?!" Monique said.
"What? We're just telling the truth! And you're another one! Always sticking close to Christian! Desperate!" She spat. That's when my patience started to wear thin. I glared at the three girls, but they remained unfazed and fearless.
"Oh, what now? Are you going to fight, loser?" She smirked and pushed me on the shoulder. Other students didn't intervene, seemingly scared to get involved.
"What the heck?! Stop that! She hasn't done anything wrong to you!" Monique grabbed her hand. My eyes widened as they all ganged up on Monique. She even hit some chairs here in the Auditorium.
That's when my vision went dark. There were three of them. I pulled them off Monique. I kicked them, slapped them, and threw them on the floor. Yeah, I pulled them up and slammed them on the floor. I didn't give them a chance to scream because I was choking them. I strangled them while punching their faces.
There were three of them, yet they were as easy to defeat as insects to me. I felt someone pulling me away. I clenched my jaw and looked at them; they were bloody and barely able to get up.
"Touch her again, and I'll make sure no one recognizes you ever again," I hissed. I struggled as the people who pulled me away tried to hold me back, and I glared at them. They quickly backed away. I approached Monique, who was in pain.
Her injury hadn't healed yet, and they saw that she had a cast, yet they still hurt her. I pulled her up and carried her out of the auditorium. I took her to the infirmary.
She's sobbing now, and I feel so sorry for her.
"Tell me, where does it hurt?" I asked angrily. I could kill them!! D*mn it!!
She just cried, and the school doctor came closer and asked me what happened. I told her everything, and I knew she knew about the gang fight.
"Should we take her to the hospital?" I asked her.
"It's okay, she's fine. She'll calm down later," she said. I furrowed my brows. How could she say that just by looking at her? She smiled at me. Monique fell asleep shortly after.
CHRISTIAN'S POV
I breathed a sigh of relief when I saw Monique sleeping peacefully. I don't like Monique , but I feel the urge to protect her because she reminds me of my twin sister who has been separated from me for a long time. I don't even know if she's alive or not.
My eyes then landed on Maureen, who was sitting on the couch and also sleeping. How can she sleep like that? Her head wasn't resting; she was sitting straight and looking down.
I sighed again. I don't want to be rude to her, but Waldrin and Raven don't like her. I have to dislike her too.
"How is she?" I turned to Waldrin and Raven, who entered the infirmary after me. I came running here.
"She looks fine," I said.
"Let's have our lunch; we still have somewhere to go," Raven said. We were about to leave when we noticed Waldrin looking at Maureen. Then he walked over to her. My eyes widened when he suddenly held her chin and lifted her face to meet his gaze.
Waldrin never touches anyone. He could kill someone just by touching them.
Maureen opened her eyes wide. She gasped and pushed Waldrin, but he held her arm.
"We're going somewhere," Waldrin hissed.
"We have plans, Waldrin," I said, puzzled.
"She's coming with us."
That's when Raven and I exchanged looks. We were planning to get suits tailored for the party.
"Don't tell me..." I gasped. I could hardly speak when I realized it. For the first time, Waldrin will be bringing a date...
"Yeah, she'll be my date," Waldrin said coldly.
"W-What?" Raven reacted.
"I don't agree with that! I don't want to! So, let me go!" Maureen pinched her arm and glared at Waldrin. They stared at each other, and Raven and I couldn't believe what we were seeing.
"I'll let you go this time, but next time, you won't be able to escape." Waldrin hissed. "Let's go." He told us, and we left the infirmary.
"What was that?" Raven asked Waldrin.
"Of all people, why her?" I asked.
Waldrin looked at us with a frown, "'Cause I know, Grandma will embarrass her." He smirked. Raven and I exchanged looks.
Almost all of us are scared of Madam Zekovia, even Waldrin is afraid of his Grandma. She can casually speak insults to the point that many people have killed themselves because of the insults they've heard from her.
Yes, she can kill with just words.
"Do you really hate her? I mean, she saved us during the last gang fight. Why do we still have to be mean to her?" I asked them. They stopped walking and looked at me.
"Why? Since when have we been nice?" Waldrin said coldly. I clenched my jaw and sighed.
"Don't be too soft, Christian. Let's just enjoy the entertainment Waldrin prepared for us." Raven smirked and put his arm around me.
