“Hi Hiro” She answered, back-crawling into the bed until her back hits the headboard.
“Long time Ivy.” A deep masculine voice said from the other side.
“If I could remember clearly, I spoke to you about three days ago.”
Hiro only chuckled. “How have you been?”
Olivia winced, her face contorted into a grimace before she forced on a smile. “As good as I will ever be.”
“I don't think you voice sounded the same as your words though.”
Olivia rolled her eyes, now, that's the worst part of someone knowing someone, not the regular knowing though. Like, someone knowing every bit of someone.
She sighed. “I'm good to be honest. When are you coming back?” She asked, trying to divert the topic.
Hiro sighed. “ Well, whenever I'm done with bagging as many endorsement as I can and becoming ambassadors for as many brands as possible.
Hiro had been Olivia and Lisa's close friend since high school and he's a model based in Britain. He never stayed in a place for too long due to his shootings, studying, tight schedule and other reasons best known to them.
Olivia sighed. “You should call Lisa. I'm sure she would have been worried about you.”
“But—”
“ —-yes?! I'm coming! I will call you back Hiro, I think I have a lecture and one of my course mates had came to call me.”
“You never made friends easily, Ivy.”
“I said course mates. I will call you back.” She said and hung up.
Olivia sighed again and grabbed three of the soft white pillows. She placed them on each other, placed it on her lap and rest her head on it.
Her stomach rumbled in hunger and she groaned but shrugged it off. She didn't even know the way to the kitchen and barely found the bathroom. She knew that if Enzo's bullet didn't end up killing her, the hunger will, so she decided to sleep. She placed her phone under one of the pillows and slept.
_ _ _
The feeling of air caressing her skin woke Olivia up from her escape sleep. She wiped her eyes and turned to look at the cause. At the foot of her bed stood a flaring Enzo, and a young man she couldn't recognise and Olivia couldn't help but thank her stars for having something decent on; a short and a t-shirt.
She sat up and mirrored Enzo's expression, her palm rubbing her bare legs.
Enzo dipped his hand into his pocket. “I think you are forgetting something little thief.”
Perhaps, Olivia thought she was dreaming and thought her situation as a chance to get back at Enzo, so she said,
“I'm 5’8, I'm not little. At least if you want to get something, get it right.”
Enzo smiled but the smile did not reach his eyes. He stepped closer to the bed and placed one of his Italian leather shoe clad feet on the white sheet of the bed, Olivia's eyes flared but she raised them again and met Enzo's gaze head on.
“And what am I forgetting?” She asked.
She asked, she couldn't wait to end the conversation, dream or not.
She's already feeling nervous and she doesn't like it if her sleep was interrupted even if it's a sleep inside a dream.
“You are here to f*****g work for me and not live like a f*****g princess.”
Olivia smiled. “Why do little when you can do too much?”
“I think she's drunk boss.” The man behind Enzo stated.
Enzo clenched his fist tightly. He wanted to hurt the sharp mouthed girl so badly, the urge to inflict pain almost clouded his senses but when he remembered his sister whose anger issues seem to have grown up to 120% after the arrival of the little thief before him, he restrained himself. He knew he's not ready for a bant.
He pressed his foot deeper into the white sheets of the bed before he stepped back.
“Get ready. You are to do your first training session. Alessia spared you, but I'm not Alessia so get up and running.”
“I'm so tired man. Weren't you growling like an animal while f*****g some bitches yesterday's night. I wasn't even able to get a sleep.” Olivia groaned and fell back into the bed. Her mind had long told her that this is not a dream and had welcomed her back to reality.
Enzo clenched his jaw and craned his neck. Then, he turned to the man behind him.
“Wake her up with an extremely cold water if she decides not to stand up.”
“Yes boss.” The man bowed.
He spared Olivia one last glance while his jaw ticked, then, he stepped out of the room. Today, he'd decide to choose peace.
Olivia sighed. More as she wishes this to be a dream, it's growing into a large reality right before her eyes. Deep inside she wished this would have happened to Lisa instead since she's a fan of novels and she would have ticked her bucket list, but instead, it happened to her who never had the dream of being kidnapped by a mafia boss and was only interested in hacking . Well, she knew that Lisa would have never decided to hack into someone's bank account so she'd dug the hole and fell in it while a certain mad man kept passing her the shovel.
Just moments away from getting drowned in cold water, she rose and spared the man carrying a bowl a confused look.
“Will you continue staring or make use of the door?” She asked in annoyance.
The man doesn't need to be told twice as he exited the room, leaving Olivia alone once again. She glanced at the bed she'd just risen from and got the urge to climb back into it but she knew one thing, there's fire in hell, and she's in the devil's clutch. Her hands subconsciously rubbed her skin and she shook her head.
She moved to the bathroom, and a few minutes later, she came out, looking confused, still fully dressed with dry hair.
“I don't have any cloth that the gym is worthy of.” She whispered, her eyes fixed on her luggage which was filled with her clothes from Versace.
“Might as well sleep.”
Just as fast as she had said it, she shook her head again before moving t
o the bed to pick up her phone so that she could call Alessia to help her with some clothes.
