“Inmate, your lawyer is here to see you.”
“Thanks, boss,” said Stewart as he approached the cell door and turned around so the officer could place the cuffs on him.
The officer escorted Stewart to the room where he could speak to his lawyer.
“How are you, Counselor?” asked Stewart as the officer opened the door. He turned around and the officer removed his cuffs.
“Thank you,” Stewart said to the officer.
“Hi, Stewart. You seem a in a good mood today,” said Mike Hernandez, a criminal defense attorney who was one of the best in all of South Florida.
“Mike, I think I’m going a little loopy being in the cell twenty-three hours a day. Walking down the hall to see my lawyer is the new excitement of my life.”
“Trial starts in two weeks. Are you still sure that you want to go to trial?
